Even though I don’t play Overwatch I do do a lot of research on the characters in my spare time and one of the things that I like to do is look up their voice lines on Youtube. And while listening to Junkrats audio one of the things I noticed is that, like- his voice noticeably changes whenever he’s in pain and it’s actually quite striking. It actually sounds like a completely different person.
I mean, I have a few theories but the first time I heard it I was really surprised by how different he sounded. One of the comments on Youtube mentioned that maybe that voice was the remnants of Jamison Fawkes peeking through the Junkrat persona and I really like that theory. I mean- it’s anyone’s guess as to why his voice changes like that but I thought it was pretty interesting and I really think it also adds another intriguing dimension to his character as well.
