It was an unlikely friendship really. Owen and Beth were like chalk and cheese, on paper, they were so unbelievably different, yet somehow, they worked. Their history had tried to make it near impossible but as she sat down opposite him, sliding his drink to him over the table, Beth smiled. It might not be the most conventional friendship, but it worked for them at least. “I’ve bought you a drink so now you have to tell me about all the gory details of what I’ve missed since I last saw you.” Taking a sip from her wine glass, the brunette sighed happily, glad that for once she had driven after dropping her daughter off at her parent’s house. “And no excuses, I am around children literally all day so I need an adult to tell me about their life that doesn’t involve colouring and learning basic math.” @owensfitzpatrick
