Haiii! Do you have any headcanons as to why Hatchling is just named...Hatchling? While others their age or younger seem to have names?
My personal headcanon is that Hatchlings get to Pick out their name once they get old enough to talk, to make them independent and feel like they have Control over who they are! The reason Hatchling is called Hatchling still is bc they haven't quite found the name for them yet
And by extension of my first question, why is Hatchling named Hatchling to you and what would their name be? :3

in my mind the hatchling's name is pretty straightforward: hatchy, short for hatchite! as to why they keep getting nicknamed hatchling so heavily to this day...
from this moment on, nobody has ever stopped calling them hatchling, even when they got old enough to grow tired of it. they have many regrets.
