The Common room was buzzing with excitement and cheer, and lots of sweets that people were chugging down in celebration. They had good reason to celebrate, Gryffindor had won the Quidditch match against Ravenclaw. The Ravenclaw team were incredibly skilled this year, but they had nothing on Gryffindors.

As the players came into the common room, everyone cheered, and Violet ran to her friend Alicia. “You were incredible out there.” She said, then looked at Oliver, smiling a little more, a light pink blush rising on her cheeks. “As were you. It looked close for a while, but you managed to stop the Quaffle so many times.” She said. Ok, sure, she was Rambling a little as she looked at the Quidditch Captain.

“We’re all really proud of you guys.” She said quickly, trying to cover up that she wasn’t just singling out Olivers skills.

Dramatic as it may seem, the Hufflepuff’s head has been in the clouds all day, filled with foreboding images and voices whispering just beyond her ability to understand, and so once the sky broke open with rain she went out for a walk. The sensation was distracting and for a moment her mind went quiet as the water washed away the anxiety and fear that’d been holding her hostage. Grateful as she was for the grounding, the sky seemed to turn more angry and now closer to the Quidditch pitch than the castle, the girl ran for cover, soaked but lighthearted for a change. “Wood!” She called out with a laugh as she took refuge, “I think we’re the only students mad enough to be out in this weather.” Nervousness painted the soaked girl’s cheeks red, though she hoped the chill of the air would more easily explain the blush. She’d had a crush on the Gryffindor Keeper for some time, now, and while she’d been brave enough to chat with him from time to time, there’s a proverbial wild hair that’s struck her. “Though, it does give me the opportunity to do this--” She’s gentle as she approaches, her smile girlish as she rose to her tip-toes to press a quick kiss to his cheek, “I-- Sorry--” she offered with a laugh as she settled back onto her heels, “I think I’ve had my head too far into the cheesy romance books or somethin’.”

                               "Whoa-- whoa!" Amelia protested, green eyes wide and tone taking on an octave much higher than normal as she emitted a small yelp. It had all happened so fast she barely had any time to react when Oliver picked her up and threw her over his shoulder. She instinctively grabbed onto the back of his shirt with an iron-like grip as a means to steady herself though it did nothing to lessen the alarm she felt at how far she was from the ground. “Oliver! If you drop me I’m taking you down with me!”
