Finally got to draw some actual chemistry structures instead of poring over math I don't understand. Organic chemistry is like my comfort zone, to be honest. It helps to be back here sometimes.
I did get around to reading that paper I talked about in the morning. I still need to figure out what exactly all the jargon means before I actually understand all the experiments and how the different compounds used fit together. Right now I only know that dihydrofolate is reduced to tetrahydrofolate (interestingly this has the same acronym as tetrahydrofuran, which can be confusing) by dihydrofolate reductase using NADPH as a cofactor. Enzyme mechanisms are interesting.
Other than that, I signed up for a poetry course on Coursera and drank some pomegranate juice. I didn't like the juice much but oh well. At least I got a good photo out of it.
That little guy next to my laptop is a stuffed animal I've had since I was a kid! I think he's very cute. :)
