the team of void soul said that that doing backstories for villains is difficult because you might make villian's unintentionally sympathetic, this is understandable in a writing stand point though in my opinion they did a great job with Klaproth because his backstory in the extra’s points out what I keep saying that his cruel actions are what drove his loved ones away.

Shenea is the sort of female character that the fandom would blame and crap everything on just because she acted human.

people view Shenea leaving Klaproth as a cruel act but if you look at her background she was kidnapped and forced to bare children against her will she even tried to take her own life until she was stopped by Desty, Shenea did try hard for her son and tried to take responsibility but things didn’t go as she wanted and she thought she fulfilled her responsibilities so she left find her own life and its been repeatedly stated that Klaproth's cruel actions is what drove his loved ones away even his backstory in the extras stated this. 

so i didn’t think the team badly written her as a bad mother just one that was human.
