I wanted to use lesser known/not first-thought picks for the species, so Glory did not end up as what probably fit better (dilophosaurus) and clay ended up as a dino that is literally miniscule but it's fantasy and I don't care

Oxalaia quilombensis, a spinosaurid only known from two skull bones discovered in 1999 in Brazil. It likely weighed around 5-7 tons and was 12-14 metres in lenght, which makes it the largest known Brazilian carnivore dinosaur. it's very similar to the famous Spinosaurus, except Oxalaia had a rounder snout and more closely spaced teeth.

I kinda feel bad for it, because it doesn't get the same attention as Spinosaurus despite being almost the same. The colours were based on the Hooded and Wattled cranes.

Oxalaia Sketch

Maybe my favorite sketch I've done and like maybe my third favorite dinosaur in general. Oxalaia is just so fun to say, like Oh-Sha-La-ee-Ah. It's the other dinosaur that might just be spinosaurus from another place. But I still love it, it's named after the god Ọbatala aka Oxalá and I'm kinda surprised there aren't more dinosaurs named after gods. Like theres Quetzalcoatlus but that's technically not a dinosaur so it technically doesn't count. Know any others?
