Well, JED is a very convenient dictionary. Also if you’d like to write in japanese I’d recommend Simeji keyboard. It also has these cute emojis and other stuff (｀･ω･´)ﾉ

tae kim’s guide to japanese is great, it’s a website guidetojapanese.org/lea… and a really nice app for android and iphone, kanjidamage.com is good for learning kanji, and there’s a bunch of memrise decks for kanji too :)

I use Japanese Flip on iOS. I don’t remember if it’s free or not, but I love it and I have used it for a couple of years now. It has everything sorted by JLPT level.
