They’re loitering in the mostly abandoned parking lot beside the now-closed pizza joint. The car’s engine hood makes for a rather functional table and keeps their late night meal warm. A half sensible pepperoni and half atrocity Alolan pinap berry and ham. Philippe opens a sauce container of buttermilk ranch and douses his side of the pizza in it. He usually had better tastes than this.
"Unovan salad dressing shouldn’t belong on pizza, neither does fruit.” Corbeau teases.
Philippe grunts after inhaling his first bites, “Your palate isn’t as refined as mine.”
“You know it’s bad when even Scolipede won’t eat it.” Corbeau picks off a few slices of pepperoni and a piece of crust. She snuffles and snorts before tentatively eating the crust from his palm.
“That’s because Scolipede prefers to eats detritus and rot.”
Corbeau breathes a laugh. Detritus. He’d taught that word to Philippe.

“Well, good evening to you.” Corbeau confronts.
The prince’s dazzling silver eyes are widened in shock and a veil of pleasant recognition as he bows before him.
“Good evening, monsieur, it is a pleasure to meet you,” He pulls Corbeau’s hand into a chaste kiss, he’s wearing smooth black leather gloves with shiny, steely claws on them. “Interesting costume, sir… are you a Golbat?”
“Close enough, I’m a Crobat,” Corbeau takes amusement in both Philippe’s acting skills and intricate costume now that he’s up close. His right hand always had a secret eye for the finery of design. “Didn’t expect to see you of all people here tonight.”
“Likewise. Crobat’s infiltrator ability explains the reason you’re in attendance without a reserved invitation,” He smirks before leveling his standing with his arms neatly behind his back. “I, with the rest of the others here, take the rules of anonymity of this event very seriously… Count Crobat.”
Corbeau scoffs at the formality and narrows his eyes. Sure he’ll take the bait for whatever game he and everyone else here is playing. What a silly party gimmick.
“Very well then, It’s a pleasure to meet you, Prince Lucario. So tell me about yourself, what do you do for work?”

So today is what marks would've just been an ordinary day as something momentous. It's far easier to interview potential candidates in-person, hence the reason Corbeau is at Galerie de la Lune to determine who will make the final cut. Only one from the very best of the best auditioning will have what it takes to be selected for this crucial task at hand.
"Corbeau! So good to see you back again, are you ready?" The Masterpiece jeweler says, they're a tall individual dressed in a chic low-cut pantsuit and wears their knee-length flaxen hair with intricate woven braids decorated in shiny chains, accessories, and charms.
There's none other place that he'd trust with this job. Masterpiece has already proven themselves through the quality of craftsmanship by how superb they rendered rough sketches and mock designs of the Rust Syndicate's pins into physical, durable metal.
"Yes, I can't help myself but feel… strangely excited and nervous. Someone could only hope they'd know how to be able to pick out the one, right?"
"Of course, that's perfectly normal and understandable! Many times people feel like just know which is 'the one' when they first see it, so hang tight, I'll be right back now with your selections."

At the local show, Harmony encounters someone that she least expects and they both hit it off for a night that leads to something more.

Corbeau stands at the landing, he’s without his outer suit jacket and wears his purple sleeves rolled up to the elbows. The ink of his solid forearm tattoos are even darker and in colors more intricately fearsome than Philippe’s. His hand rests on the railing while clenching into a fist. The man's golden eyes narrow into a vicious type of unfiltered hatred that makes Harmony wish for a quick, merciful death. His specialty is in poison and she surmises he’d probably enjoy dealing with something far more drawn-out and dramatic than that.

Jacinthe's gift to the lovely newlywedded couple is a toy-filled treasure trunk for Philippe and Corbeau to enjoy. The pair spends their honeymoon in Alola diving through the trove and discovering the many ways to consummate their devotion to their marriage.
