1. What made you ship it?
I latched onto Aerion like a kitten sucking milk out of a sopping wet webkinz toy the minute he turned up on-page and my fave thing to noodle around in my head is romance… thankfully Dunk was right there. Then I went “haha take Aerion with you #lol” and became extremely mentally ill about the entire thing
2. What are your favorite things about the ship?
Evil nightmare princess x comparatively very down to earth man is funny… I also really like the trope of Character A (evil) receiving genuine kindness from Character B (just a nice person) and realising that it hits different when someone isn’t trying to curry favour or just doing it because they have to. Also yaoi size difference.
I could also go on a big giant rant about redemption arcs and how genuinely interesting I find them when a character really is EVIL and whether it’s worth trying to redeem someone like that, if you even can, but that’s more specific to squire au
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Up until the show started getting hype my unpopular opinion was that I shipped it at all. Ummm I do not see Aerion as a shadow daddy dom top. I think he does nothing except lay there and moan and then claims to be exhausted from the effort
