Ever since I watched the entirety of the Cuphead show back in 2022, I was a bit disappointed that not all of the bosses made their appearance in the show. Like, for example: Even if some bosses did make cameos in some of the episodes, it’s one-off and there for a few seconds in an episode that doesn’t focus on them.
Here’s the thing, 9 out of 19 bosses from the original game have proper episodes dedicated to them, the following bosses are:
The Root Pack (S1 EP7)
Ribby & Croaks (S1 EP3)
Baroness Von Bonbon (S2 EP5)
Captain Brineybeard (S2 EP3)
Sally Stageplay (S3 EP3)
Werner Werman (S2 EP10)
Cala Maria (S2 EP3)
King Dice (S1 EP5, S3 EP8)
The Devil (numerous episodes, especially in season 3)
While the remaining 10 out of the 19 bosses either have a one-off cameo, have episodes dedicated to them but were scrapped, or just didn’t appear in the show nor in a scrapped episode at all:
Goopy le Grande (didn’t appear)
Hilda Berg (one-off cameo and scrapped episode)
Cagney Carnation (scrapped episode)
Beppi the Clown (scrapped episode)
Djimmi the Great (scrapped episode)
Grim Matchstick (one-off cameo)
Wally Warbles (scrapped episode)
Rumor Honeybottoms (didn’t appear)
Dr. Kahl’s Robot (didn’t appear)
Phantom Express (one-off cameo)
It’s a damn shame since some of the ones that don’t get that much focus have so much potential! Think about the personality the boss has, what makes them so unique and fun to love, parts of them that should’ve been explored in the show, and how they’ll be presented in general.
