Kind of crazy that the wicked Witch of the East (yes, that is how it’s stylized in the original novel), Dorothy Gale, and the wicked Witch of the West all have the same shoe size. (Yes, the Witch of the West does briefly wear one of the Silver Shoes in the original novel.)
I realize that this could be explained away by determining that the Silver Shoes change size to fit their current wearer (like the One Ring in *The Hobbit* & LotR), but nothing in the original novel suggests that. It would be a cool angle for an adaptation to take, though.
And, of course, people can choose to headcanon that/choose to interpret it that way.
