The veiled lady, or P. indusiatus, is an enchanting and distinctive fungus with a delicate white lacy skirt called an indusium. In Eastern Asia, this beautiful mushroom is considered a delicacy. In New Guinea, native people believe it is sacred. Researchers are even finding that several components contained in this fungus are able to protect the central nervous system.
