Lies|| Derek & Bennett
@timeless-bennett
Derek was not in a good mood as he walked into the large office building that he knew housed Nouveau Magazine. It had been weeks since Kaden had been attacked but he still hadn’t let it go out of his mind. Especially after so many people he knew having brought up Bennett’s name in the last several weeks. He wasn’t sure what to think, but he knew that the vampire had some explaining to do regardless.
He walked across the expansive lobby and into an elevator, jabbing the button to go up to the offices, he remembered the elevator from coming to council meetings with his father. He wasn’t sure what Bennett was trying to do, by taking on Kaden, and with everything else that he had been doing but Derek didn’t like it. The point right now was to stay low, and yet Bennett was trying to mobilize action. He wanted to fight back, that wasn’t the issue, but Derek knew that now wasn’t the time.
When he exited the elevator he went up to the receptionist, “Bennett Avery is expecting me” he lied smoothly, but the receptionist believed him and walked him back to the vampires office. He sat down for a few minutes but then heard the door click open behind him and he stood and turned, “Hello Bennett, we need to talk.”
sinking man { charlie/bennett }
Charlie didn’t want to leave Alex’s bedside for a second, but hearing about Levi and Bennett made her promise Alex that she would be back as soon as she could. As she left, she mulled over who to talk to first, but a moment after she questioned it, the answer hit her immediately. It was obvious who she had to talk to first.
She didn’t want to believe it, and she knew it wasn’t Mia’s fault, or anyone’s fault, really - she had just thought that maybe Bennett would be able to secure Levi’s heart. It scared her, really, just how much she and Bennett actually had in common. She’d reached out to him once his secret about being abused leaked out, and from there, she had made a bond with Bennett she was sure she wouldn’t be able to have with many people at all. She had to see him. She had to make sure he was okay.
That was why she stood at his front door, knocking a few times and rocking on her heels as she waited. She hoped he was home. She hadn’t called or texted in fear that he would tell her not to show up.
Perfect Town || Bennett&Cassandra
Cassandra had done some awful things throughout her years. She wasn’t ashamed to admit it. She had also used people throughout the years to get blamed for the things she did. She didn’t feel bad about that either. Her number one priority was herself, and she would do what was necessary to guarantee her own survival.
Two of those people that she had screwed over during her time as a vampire were Demetri Nicholson and Bennett Avery, usually she would use them to unwillingly help her at the same time, although sometimes she had approached them individually. Since being in the city she had bumped into Demetri a few times, but she had never actually seen Bennett yet. She had been thinking for a while about how she had to change it, so when she spotted him walking towards her in the direction of the Nouveau offices, she quickened her pace so she could catch him before he went inside. “Bennett!” she called out, sliding in-between the other vampire and the door, “I haven’t seen you in a while,” she commented nonchalantly, a mischievous smile plastered on her face.
Unity || Bennett & Charlotte
It had been a long day of working, and all Charlotte wanted was to spend some time with the person she was closest to in the entire world. Bennett was not only her maker, he was her best friend, her family, and after a long and hard day at work, he was the only person that she wanted to see was him. Also, during her brainstorming, she had found the most perfect painting that would fit right in at his apartment. As per usual, when she got to his place, she knocked twice, and walked right in. "Bennett, you here?" she called out, putting her bag down at the entrance hall, as well as her high heels. There was no such feeling as freeing her feet after a long day of work. "Bennett?" she called out again as she walked into his livingroom, finding him sat relaxed on the couch.
"I got you a little something, I saw this, and I immediately thought of you." She held the painting up for him to see, and pointed to one of the free walls. "It's perfect, right there." Charlotte grinned and set the painting down and walked over to sit down beside him, tucking her feet up underneath her as she got comfortable. "How was your day? Anything fun happen?" Bennett was always the person she wanted to see after a long day. After spending four and a half centuries together, that was bound to happen too.
lilbennyrose
Bennett didn’t straighten as Freddie did, instead leaning into the others side in his continued cuddle, letting out a soft, pleased sigh. “I really really want a baby,” he repeated, feeling better telling someone else about it, like the more people he told, the more likely it was to all come together. He laid his head on Freddie’s shoulder, laughing softly. “I’m pretty sure you dont’ want to listen to me sing One Direction or Ke$ha, Fredward,” he chided with a minute shake of his head. “I don’t think death can be much of an adventure if you’re going through it on your own… like, adventures are best when you’re sharing them with friends and family. That’s what I’ve learned since moving here.”
Freddie wasn't exactly used to receiving hugs, or cuddling in general. His recent night spent with Daphne had been a rather new experience for him, and so he wasn't quite sure how to react to Bennett's physical displays of affection. He was, however, surprised by how nice it felt to have the other male snuggled against his side, a smile staying present on Freddie's lips as he wrapped an arm back around the other in a single armed embrace. "I can tell," he commented, nodding a little. "I love my sister, but I'm not sure I'm dad material. You are dad material." He chuckled softly, pretending to ponder it for a moment. "Nope, actually. I'm pretty sure I do want to hear you sing either." He stayed quiet at Bennett's next comment, feeling he wasn't experience enough to have any input; he spent most of his life alone as it was, so why would death be any different?
The Place Beyond the Pines || Bennett + Este
Este's original plan was to be alone. She figured she needed it, and they were only four days in. So she'd stalked off from her group, throwing on her coat against the slowly setting sun, and disappeared into the woods. At this point she was used to getting lost and letting the trees direct her themselves. She would've called it poetic if it wasn't so creepy; as if no matter how many steps she took in one direction, she always somehow ended up back in another. It was probably something no more complicated than an illusion cast over the trees, but she couldn't help but feel uneasy.
The empty expanse of the forest always made her feel just a tiny bit claustrophobic. Yet every time one of these trips came around, she found herself wandering alone more than one point. So she let her feet -- or the trees -- guide her way, hoping to get lost but never getting far. The chilling air bit her skin, flushing her cheeks, but she relished in it, appreciating the outdoors as much as she could. Being outside was probably the closet she'd ever get to being in the literal outside. As if she could take a few more strides and she'd break right through the trees into civilization. But it wouldn't happen that way, and she kept wandering.
Apparently Bennett had the same idea of wandering, because he suddenly burst out from behind a tree like fucking Freddie Kreuger and Este just about had a stroke, throwing a hand to her heart as she stumbled back. "Fuck," she choked out, her exclamation piercing the darkening sky. She recovered long enough to lunge at him, smacking a hand against his chest uselessly. "What the hell is wrong with you?" she gasped, putting both of her hands on her knees to hunch over and just breathe for a second. "God dammit, I thought you were some fucking serial murderer."
Fight or Flight ✗ O:R {Bennett and Emma}
As soon as Lucille was torn away from Emma, the girl started to panic even more. All around her, werewolves were turning, and people were screaming and crying as everyone was being attacked. Angry and injured werewolves howled up at the sky, creating a symphony of sounds that sent chills down Emma's spine. There was nothing else that she could do now, except try to make her way to the portkey and help whoever she could on her way.
Dodging the bodies was hard. People couldn't pay attention to others as they fought and ran and tried their best to evade the madness. She almost got knocked over a couple of times, such a small girl in such a huge catastrophe. Emma just ran as quickly as her legs could carry her, running towards a statue that she saw in the distance. She could make out someone running away from the huge standing figure, but couldn't see who it was. She got there, and then she tried to catch her breath for a few seconds, figuring out which way she needed to go.
Just as she was about to charm her wand to guide her back to the portkey like Keller had shown them, Emma heard the growl of a werewolf behind her. She spun around, seeing it catch sight of her and start slowly making its way over. Emma's voice cracked as she tried to send out a Stupefy spell, and failed miserably. Sparks flew out of her wand, but nothing powerful enough to harm the werewolf that was coming for her. She tried again, and this time it barely knicked the werewolf's arm, knocking him off course but only for a split second before it got down on all fours and looked like it was going to run right for her. Emma swallowed down her panic, and gripped her wand tight, knowing that turning and running wasn't an option... but that fighting the werewolf really wasn't, either.
