Close Call
“You could’ve gotten seriously hurt, Alex!”
“I’m perfectly fi‒”
“You’re wounded!”
“It’s just a scratch a‒”
“What were you thinking?!”
Fed up with the grilling, Alex finally snapped, her eyes cutting sharply to glower at her sister’s pinched face, returning the fire with a glower of her own. “I was thinking that I had to do my job, Supergirl, do you have any problem with that?” The words were ground out, stony and resolute in their conviction. Sometimes it was like this, she had to pull rank on Kara in order to stop an argument from escalating very publicly. After a few seconds of trying to stare each other down, she watched as Kara’s stance slowly deflated, the glower turning into a concerned frown, her own stance relaxing too in return. They would be fine, this was an old argument between them, the roles switching back and forth, but it was all part of being siblings with very dangerous jobs.
Spotting a now familiar gait strut past by out of the corner of her eye, she was quick to reassure Kara and sent her home to rest, the DEO and NCPD would take care of the clean up, their job there was done. Also, she needed to slither away before Kara saw past her panic and noticed the blood soaking the right side of Alex’s uniform. Waiting a moment to make sure Supergirl was gone, she went in search of her target, finding her fiddling with what seemed to be a pretty useless phone by now, if the sorry state of the device was anything to go by. “Miss Luthor.”
Christmas Cabin||Chase && Oly
Coming up with the idea to get a cabin had to be one of Chase’s best ideas. He couldn’t wait to go out of town with his gorgeous boyfriend and just enjoy nature and each others company without having to worry about anything else. Of course, Po was coming with them, which was going to be great as well. He couldn’t wait to see the dog frolicking through the snow, practically burying himself. It was going to be amusing, none the less.
The couple had rented a car to get them to Minnesota and luckily, the drive wasn’t too bad. Chase was pleased. Then moment they arrived at the cabin, Po’s nose was pressed up against the glass of the car, eager to get out. Chase laughed and he looked towards Olyver, his smile etched wide on his features, “We made it!” He exclaimed and unbuckled his seatbelt so he could lean over and press his lips to Oly’s, “Good driving, babe.” He smiled.
His fingers ran through the man’s beard for a few moments until he leaned back and opened up his door. Po barked and Chase was quickly opening up that door. Immediately, the dog was jumping out of the car and diving into the closest pile of snow. Chase laughed and his blue eyes looked around, immediately admiring the location. This was going to be perfect. So perfect. With a happy sigh, he walked over to the trunk and waited for Olyver to open it, his fingers tapping on the car, smiling.

christmas & chill | connor & troye
Troye: If it hadn't been for the light peeping through Troye's curtains, he probably would have slept in until noon. Usually, December twenty-fifth went by uncelebrated in his family; it was just another day, and another excuse to do nothing all day. But this year was different. This year would be the first year he officially celebrated Christmas, thanks to his best friend, who not too long ago confessed that he wasn't going to be able to see his family on the holiday. With a yawn, Troye pulled himself out of his warm bed and slipped himself into a loose jumper and some slippers before walking in the direction of the guest room, where Connor had been staying for a few days. "Merry Christmas!" He yelled out as he burst into the room and ran in the direction of the bed, then jumped on top of Connor and wrapped his arms around his best friend in a tight hug, closing his eyes as he did so. "Wake up! Santa's brought you lots and lots of presents!" He continued yelling excitedly, turning his head back to look at his friend with a smile.
PHONE CALL ☎ COLFERSON
BLAINE: [after searching through the phone someone had carelessly left on the bedside table for potential answers, Blaine found nothing but confusion.. and, a very, very familiar face. well, other than his own.. with pictures he didn’t even recall ever taking. one of the contacts, being under the name ‘Chris’, was accompanied by a picture of.. Kurt? his heart leaped in his chest and, albeit confused, he wondered if he found the answer to his confusion. but.. why would the stranger who kidnapped him and Sam have Kurt in his phone? and why would his name be under Chris? nothing made sense. but.. he had to try something. so he clicked on the contact and hit the ‘call’ option.. pulling the phone up to his ear and desperately listening to the ringing. waiting.] Please pick up.. /Please../
COLD COFFEE ☾ TATUM CHERIE
Her legs were tucked neatly underneath her, as she huddles even more in her arm rest, the cafe closed about an hour ago -- but she was soaking up any heat that she could get before she had to head upstairs to her apartment, the heat had been broken for about two weeks now, the only radiating warmth being the large faux fireplace that lined the back wall. The blonde would sit down here for hours after the doors had been locked and the girls went home, the big surround system lulling out the softest music as she read, or in this for instance; texted. Clicking out quick letters, watching them appear across the screen, her blue orbs flicking over the ones that were returned to her.
A small smile spread across her lips, uncurling herself from the arm chair and adjusting the grey sweater across her body and falling down to barely touch the fabric of her black tights -- it only took a few strides for her to cross the wood floors, creaking as her weight slightly displaced the loose boards. She had to get those tightened, there was a lot of small things that she needed to get fixed about the cafe -- it was hers, she was proud of it, but the ancient building had it's flaws. All she could ask for was that it wasn't crumbling around her; so far, that was working out.
Unlocking the door, she glanced back down at her phone that was clutched in her hand, they'd been out of the sweater sleeve too long, flushing around her fingers in the slightest chill. She had such an interest in Tatum, the dark haired beauty made a part of her glow -- the smallest part, she enjoyed her company... every part of her company, sending her jumping at any chance to hang out with her more than she did on the regular basis. It seemed like a lot, but her only being around her during the work hours... grew tiresome, leaving her to start inviting her over more.
Quips filled the room quickly as she clicked the fireplace remote, turning up the heat onto the highest setting as she walked past towards the coffee machine. Going through the most unorganized box of coffee bricks, damning whoever had let them get this way silently under her breath. Quickly grabbing the coffee marker to write a memo on the side of the box to remind whoever was on in the morning to organize them properly, pressing the marker hard enough that it bled out into the cardboard. Cherie had messed it up even further, but they didn't need to know that. As the blonde emptied the brick into the coffee maker, the soft click of the door brought her eyes immediately, feeling them light up with a smile that even her lips were behind on. "Isn't it the prettiest girl in the land," she smirked, biting down on her lip, drawing it back between her teeth. "I made your favourite kind of coffee, I hope you're not too cold -- I'm trying to warm it up more in here."

Cambridge Confidential Past Para || Camden & Johnathan
Camden was pansexual and liked having sex as much as anyone else. What irked him was his fucking flatmate, Johnathan Montgomery. He made Cam's life more difficult then it needed to be. Always making sexual comments and advances to not follow through with his words. Cam was all for good fun unless it left him feeling unsatisfied, then he needed to do something about it. Johnathan came back to their room and began talking about something, Cam ignored him working on his business law paper when John kicked his chair. "Pay attention to me, I'm needy." John whined. Cam rolled his eyes, "You're always needy that is nothing new. I have a paper to write. So if you will quit your bloody talking it'd be great. Thanks" Cam sniped at him, shaking his head and going back to his paper.
Johnathan would not be ignored and kicked his chair again, smirking at him and laughing. "You're an asshole, a right foul get." John spoke to him as he laid across his bed. Cam was fully fucking annoyed with the other man's presence at this point. "If you don't shut up, I swear I'll shift your girlfriend. Not all of us are thespians and get across with only acting. some of us have actual work to do and are stressed. So if you don't have anything helpful to ad leave." Their eyes met and Cam could swear he could see the shorter man looking at him in such a way, as if he wanted him. Suddenly the room was warm and you could cut the sexual tension with a knife.
