Dave took a deep breath as he adjusted his collar. It had been a long time since he really felt this nervous about a date. He had to make this perfect. This was going to be the date that mattered now. It was the date that would tell if he had a chance with his marriage, or if it was doomed to fail --meaning, no pressure or anything. Accepting what happened to Kurt had been difficult, extremely difficult. After all, how was he supposed to really accept the fact that his husband only remembered the painful version of him he wished he could forget (he honestly wished that it had been him in Kurt's place, maybe Kurt would have been more patient, or would be better at all of this.). Dave closed his eyes for a moment, trying to relax himself. It would go well. It'll all go well, he knew it would.
He honestly wasn't sure how Kurt ended up falling in love with him. Of course, for Dave, first real love never died. Seeing Kurt again made him feel as though he was waking up from a dream. It was pure luck that they would eventually get married. Dave opened his eyes, and nodded to himself. It would go well, this would go well. He just had to keep reminding himself that. Turning, he made his way to the door, towards Kurt's room. It was almost seven, almost. It wouldn't hurt to be early, right? As he approached the door, he hesitated, but stretched out his hand, knocking on the door. Now to wait.
