Stevie || Stargazing
Sawyer looked at her new telescope for a few moments before wrinkling up her nose and dropping down on the bed beside it groaning. She didn't have to invite Stevie over to use her new telescope, or plan a post graduation trip, or even bring the great idea of working together on a new page for the website. But of course, she did. Rolling over she heard her phone buzz and groaned shaking her head as she leaned up and grabbed it reading his text. "OH, okay. II'I be over there soon." Blowing out a deep breath she tossed her phone on her bedside table burying her face back into her bedspread mumbling incoherent words for a few moments before leaning up and looking out her window to the backyard. "So stupid." She groans picking up the telescope in one arm as she grabs her beanie walking out of the room flicking off the light on the way. "Why do we have so many lights on?" She calls out to the empty house pouting as she walks down the long hallway flicking off the lights before turning down the stairs and doing the same as she makes her way to the kitchen.
"And they wonder why the electricity is so high." She chuckles to herself rooming her eyes as she sets the telescope before pulling her beanie over her head and looking around sighing. Humming she walks over to the counter finding the Tupperware full of the cookies her mother made for Stevie before walking back over to the island grabbing the telescope and making her way outside using her elbow to flick off the last light in the house. Stepping out into the back she takes in a deep breath smiling to herself as she makes her way over to the treehouse setting the cookies and telescope onto the makeshift dumbwaiter using a rope to make sure the telescope wouldn't fall before turning to the rope ladder and climbing up. Reaching the top she grabs a rope and tugs on it until slowly until the dumbwaiter reaches the top and pulls it over setting it on the deck of the treehouse collecting the objects and going inside placing the cookies on the little table before setting up the telescope out the window and sitting back on the pile of pillows looking out at the sky waiting.
