It had been a long time since the twenty seven year old had seen and hung out with her former cast mate. It was something that was much needed and since they were both finally at the Hollywood Hotel and weren’t as busy anymore, it seemed like more than the perfect time to d0 so. Ashley shifted through her tidy room, looking through the dresser for clothes and changing out of her pajamas into a random pair of jeans and her band t-shirt. This was just Tyler, she knew that she could and hang out with him in just her pajamas, but going to the bar area in them just didn’t feel right for the blonde. Once she was ready, she walked down to the bar and looked around the full stocked bar. Grabbing the Jack Daniels bottle, she poured it into a glass and slid it on the bar table as she grabbed herself her go to wine and sat down, her legs crossing as she waited for the older male to join her.
walking down the carpeted floor with a smile, the young girl tries not to cry anymore after having a full-on break down in the bathroom just a few minutes earlier. curls framing her face she navigates her way through the expensively clad crowd, tapping the shoulders of people she has gotten to know during the dinner.
her date for the night is nowhere in hindsight and she can’t quite tell if that’s a good or bad thing. looking around as if she were lost, the girl touches her neck as she scans the room again. no luck, she decides to just find a group of people she can actually have a decent talk with.
just as she’s about to turn, a lanky man with specs bigger than his face grins at her. “hi, did you come here alone?” the first thing she does is look behind her– no one is there so the guy must be talking to her. alert, she shakes her head.
“no, i came with a date.” the words are blurted out faster than she planned it to be. keeping her composure, she fakes a friendly smile. “why did you ask?”
the man laughs (stupidly, notably). “well you are very pretty, it’s a shame no one’s showing you off.” his hands casually takes hers, smile not faltering. at this point the girl is freaked out and she fakes a laugh as she pulls her hand away. “what? show me off? sorry got to go my date’s probably waiting for me.”
trying to get away as fast as possible, she tugs up her dress once again and shuffles forward. only a few steps covered, clammy hands are now on her elbows. staring at the stranger in horror, she frowns and almost yelps. “uh, please let go of me.”
dogged determination on the man’s face, she is scared more than she is creeped out now, and she wishes for her date to actually turn up and whisk her away. alas, god forbid– for her grandmother to come herself and take her home.
moments away from another break-down, she spots a familiar face amongst the crowd. hope spark again in her eyes as she uses her other hand to wave at the older guy. “oppa! jiyong oppa!” forget manners and being lady-like, her only aim for the night is to get back home in one piece.
TAGGING: Brittany Pierce and Kurt Hummel
TIMEFRAME: Sometime this week... I don't really know when, oops.
LOCATION: A park in Lima.
NOTES: Brittany and Kurt hang out in the park and feed the ducks while they talk about college and stuff.
Kurt had been excited to hang out with Brittany. He hadn't been seen the girl or hung around with her since he'd graduated, and decided to take the oppurtunity while in Lima. He pulled on skinny jeans and his black shoes, along with a t-shirt. He texted Brittany to tell her where he'd wait, and sat down on a bench in the park, looking around and waiting for the girl.
Brittany was really looking forward to spending some time with Kurt. It had been a while since they'd seen each other, and even though they weren't best friends, she still really liked the guy. And he lived in New York with Santana and Rachel, so he could probably tell her everything about the city - and the people. She glanced down at her phone, rereading the text. When she looked up again she spotted Kurt sitting on a bench, and a smile spread across her face. She quickly walked up to him. "Hi, Kurt! Long time no see!"
Kurt looked up, hearing Brittany's voice, and seeing her in front of him. He smiled, standing up and pulling her into a hug. "Brittany, hey! How have you been doing? Have you done anything big for summer yet?" Kurt asks, sitting back down the bench. He knew she was moving to New York and he was excited to have another friend join them in New York. They weren't the best of friends, but they knew each other and Kurt would love to become closer to her.
Brittany wrapped her arms around Kurt's upper body, patting him on the back a little. She'd seen guys do that sometimes, and since Kurt was a boy he might like that. "Not yet, but there's a party this Friday at Kitty's place. I'm sure it's going to be lots of fun."
Kurt nods. "Well, that sounds like fun. I'm sure you'll have a great time!" Kurt smiles, happy to talk to her. "What about Fourth of July? Did you do anything big for that?"
Brittany copied Kurt's nod. "We barbecued. And watched Beauty And The Beast. It's my favorite. Do you like Disney movies?"
Kurt chuckled. "I love Disney movies. I think my favorite might be Little Mermaid." He grins, smoothing down his shirt. "I just watched some fireworks with my dad. And we grilled. It was a lot of fun." He grins.
Brittany loved The Little Mermaid. She thought Eric was really hot, and she liked Flounder as well. "Poor unfortunate souls," she sang softly, with a grin on her face. "Are you staying in Lima for the summer or are you going back sometime soon?"
Kurt laughed softly as Brittany begin singing. "Well, I'm staying in Lima until the end of the week. I'm heading back to New York afterwards. I just came down for a short visit." He explains, crossing his legs.
Brittany nodded. She could understand Kurt going back to New York. She personally liked New York a lot better than Lima as well, even though she didn't hate the place as much as everyone else seemed to do. She just liked New York more. "Awesome. I can't wait until I finally move there!"
Kurt smiles. "I know you're going to absolutely love New York. And you always have me to hang out with if you want." Kurt laughs softly, patting her on the shoulder.
Brittany was glad Kurt offered to hang out with her. She knew she was going to make a lot of new friends soon enough, but it was still nice to know there was someone she already knew willing to explore the city with her. "Thanks, Kurt. I'd ask Santana, but you know..."
Kurt nods. "Yeah, it's fine. We can hang out, and I'd love to show you the city. You'll love Central Park. It's beautiful, and it's great to go out there and just eat lunch and relax sometimes." Kurt explains happily. He loved spending time with family, but he missed the city.
Brittany looked around. She'd seen Central Park a few times already, and every time she was surprised at how large it was. Like... a million times bigger than this park. "I know. And there are ducks, right?" She pointed at the few ducks swimming around in the smal lake in front of them, and then showed the sack of bread she'd brought. "Do you want to help me feed them?"
Kurt nods, smiling at the girl holding the bread. "Sure. That sounds good!" He smiles, walking over to the pond, taking a piece of bread and pulling it apart before tossing it in and watching the ducks eat.
Brittany loved feeding the ducks at the park. Her dad always used to take her, and they'd spent hours standing here and throwing bread at the swimming animals. Sometimes a fish would swim by and eat the bread instead, and Brittany always thought that was pretty funny. They fed the ducks for a while, and even though they didn't talk much, Brittany still enjoyed herself pretty well.
Kurt giggled multiple times as the ducks honked loudly, and he tossed more bread in. He was having a good time with Brittany, and honestly wanted to become closer to her when she moved up to New York. He knew she'd love it there, and he wanted to hang out with her a good bit.
Brittany scratched her arm and decided to just ask Kurt what's been bothering her for a while now. "You're at NYADA, right? How do you pay for college and stuff? Because it's really expensive..."
Kurt nods. "It is expensive. My job at Vogue pays for it, and I had a college fund set up to pay for a good bit of it, which is nice. But there are jobs available in New York and if you need one, I can help you out."
Brittany shrugged. "I should probably get a job... but I'll worry about that when I'm in New York. And my parents will pay for a part of it too, probably. I can look into scholarships or something too, but I'm not sure how to do that. Maybe Lord Tubbington knows."
Kurt nods. "Maybe. I'm sure your parents could help you out with scholarships and things like that, and some of your friends can to." Kurt explains, glancing around the almost empty park.
Brittany let out a sigh. Why did college have to be so expensive? This way if you were poor or something you'd never be able to get out of that because you couldn't go to college and stuff. It wasn't really fair. She followed Kurt's gaze and realized they were basically the only ones still at the park. "It's getting pretty late, don't you think?"
Kurt nods. "It is. There's almost nobody here." He chuckles, standing up and stretching his arms and legs. "I think I'm going to go home, because dad wanted me home to eat dinner." He shrugs. "I enjoyed today, though." He smiles softly, pulling Brittany into a tight hug.
Brittany smiled. "Okay. We'll hang out more once we're both in New York, okay?" And with that she got up and left the park, going in the opposite direction of Kurt. She'd really liked hanging out with him, and she was looking forward to doing it again - but in a different park.
