not for the first time that day, jinri finds herself in front of a mirror, staring at her own reflection that looks only vaguely like her. people tell her all the time that she’s pretty, but she’s never really believed it -- not until professional stylists get to work on her and make it even more obvious. she experienced the same thing during both seasons of the mgas that she took part in: whenever professionals do her makeup and hair, she looks amazing, hardly even like herself.
she doesn’t think it’s a bad thing, either. she loves feeling pretty, loves being surprised by her own reflection. she always wishes she could make herself look like this -- wishes she had the skill and knowledge of makeup and hair styling to hide her flaws so perfectly, to make her hair curl and fall just right.
adjusting the fake, thick-rimmed glasses on her face, she turns around to see seulgi nearby and hurries toward her. filming hasn’t started yet -- jinri only just got out of the stylist’s chair, and she doesn’t think seulgi’s been done for very long either. “seulgi!” she calls, soon catching up and grinning at her friend -- who, like her, looks incredibly different than she usually does. “you look so pretty! are you excited?” jinri asks, hooking her arm with seulgi’s and beginning to walk with her towards the set, a collection of rooms only halfway built by samsung -- most of the walls are missing, as their commercial only requires one or two walls to be shown on camera.
