Rainy day

It was raining yet again, and of course the young woman forgot her umbrella causing her hair to get soaked. Her body shook slightly from the cold that greeted her due to the wetness that seeped through her clothing. There was no way the female would talk all the way across town in this type of weather. Shaking her head the girl hailed for a taxi, a smile appearing on her face once one decided to appear in front of her. Pushing against the wind she hopped into the back only to be greeted by a male. Oh, was this his taxi ? Surely it was hers after all she just called for it. Her face froze as she didn’t want to get out into the cold. It didn’t look like he wanted to either as he was soaked as well.

“Sorry, is this yours ?” She mumbled softly as a soft blush covered her cheeks. She was embarrassed, and incredibly cold she could not stand it. The driver looked back at them, probably wondering where they would be going. Or if they were even going to the same place. Juliette cared not if she shared the cab, however she’d have to make sure this stranger wouldn’t mind.

Rainy Day

Annoyance hit her hard once she stepped outside her manager’s building. Not only did he happen to piss her off for the umpteenth time this week, it was raining. Of course today she chose to wear her nicer pair of shoes, for what reason, she knew not. It was a stupid mistake, one sure cursed at herself for as she walked down the sidewalk towards her destination. The young woman held her umbrella high as she rushed passed the large volume of people. This was the one thing she hated about living in the city, the mass of people who always seemed to crowd on the tiniest strip of land. A sigh fell through her red stained lips as she pulled her phone from the pocket of her black coat pocket.  Her perfectly manicured fingers made quick work of unlocking the device before reading the messages that resided on the screen. Some of course were more unwanted than most, as it was her manager cussing her out for leaving in the way she did. Maybe she shouldn’t have knocked over his expensive coffee maker, then again he shouldn’t have crossed her. That was his biggest mistake. The girl was so lost in her thoughts she hardly noticed the people around her stopped to wait on the car traffic. It wasn’t until he umbrella bumped into another did she stop her motions to look up. In her angered state she felt like snapping, why would someone stop in-front of her. Do they know who she is?  However, logic took over as there was no way he could have prevented them bumping, after all it was her fault. Swallowing her pride,  the girl slid her phone into her pocket before looking at the male. “I’m so sorry, I wasn’t paying attention.” she stated dryly, when did she become so bitter ? Her fingers gripped her umbrella tighter. “Are you alright ?”
