Robert is hot.
I feel like the writers made Cora and Robert reconcile after Sybil's death too quickly. Robert barely mourned her. It seemed like he cared more about Cora's unborn son in S1 than Sybil.
Lord Grantham needs to GET WITH THE PROGRAM! It's Tom's baby and Tom's baby only!!
I think when Jane left she took Robert's brain and backbone with her. (submitted by queenlovett)
I hate reading how cold and unfeeling Robert was about Sybil's death when he wasn't. He didn't react in the most helpful way but he was grief-stricken, taking his anger out on the wrong people. The moment after Dr. Clarkson leaves them at the dowager's and both he and Cora break down in sobs, you can tell how broken they both are over losing their youngest child.
I honestly don't get the big deal about the bedpost. It looked like Matthew was having a war flashback and was just hanging on for dear life. Robert/Hugh's unaffected "This can't be" stuck out much more to me.
I can't believe we didn't see Robert break down over Sybil's death and that her death was not dark enough to make his laundry list of dark times at Downton. I really felt like everyone in the house, including the servants, cared more about her death than he did.
I will never forgive Robert for his role in Sybil's death. Nor will I forgive Julian Fellowes for letting him off the hook so easily.
