So things definitely didn’t work out as I planned, but I do have a finished story, a completed print, a print in the process, and an idea for one last print—maybe two. This is quite an accomplishment for me considering! I’m a bit discouraged and disappointed I didn’t do all that I wanted to do at the beginning of the semester, when I came up with this project, but I am sort of happy with what I have so far.
Since this will be an ongoing project (of sorts) for me, I think this semester was a great beginning for me. Not only do I have another short story in my writing portfolio, I have illustrations for it in the works! I could illustrate my own work regularly if I continue to practice and print! This was a very cool project for me and I cannot wait to keep it up.
Printmaking is so much fun and I hope do to so much more during the summer. Now I may not have a printing press, but I do have access to the campus during the summer, and if I have my own supplies, I just might be able to make this work! If not, my dad’s a sculptor and could probably help me make my own makeshift press or help me buy my own cheap one.
So that’s it for The Rhetoric Project on my blog, I think. After this, and the paper, it’s all gonna be me writing and printing for my own sake. I can’t wait! :D
OH, almost forgot. The link to the story is right here! I put it up on googledocs and it can only be viewed with this link.
