detectives for a night ( kjh & bjh )
under average circumstances, jiho would be more than thrilled to be given such an order. the excitement promised by the eerie silence of the night, the dim light of the moon and the (un)dead woods would clearly raise her adrenaline levels, speed up her breathing – all in a positive meaning.
but this isn’t an average situation. and while jiho is all for helping others, especially if it comes to her own coven, she is but a little bit repelled by how the two familiars of the order (her and joohyun respectively) are sent away from the crime scene to clear up the mess the witches had created. because, honestly, why should they be chasing after the mistake that was clearly their doing and not the familiars’ who can’t even conjure a breath?
not that she would ever mention this to her fellow members. joohyun, maybe– but she needs a bit of time to recollect herself and her thoughts after the shock the demon’s unexpected appearance had caused. sure, in a way, it wasn’t a hundred percent unexpected – they were there, in the heart of the woods for no other reason but to conjure up something, but none of them could possibly expect a spider demon to show up.
god, it was just so ugly.
“don’t you think we should transform?” jiho suddenly speaks up as they’re passing through an endless loop of branches that grew out too low and a number of thick roots ready to trip over the unobservant. “we’re very fast in general but probably our animal forms are even faster. or do you think we would lose each other if we can’t talk?” breaking off another branch that was about to poke her eye out, she lets out a groan of pure frustration. “god, why did they have to conjure a demon that is not only ugly but whom we can’t even negotiate with?!”
