hearing that the transformation had been an accident, it felt like a light weight had been lifted from her shoulders. at least she hadn’t made her entirely uncomfortable. “oh, don’t worry! i understand completely. but at least you’re back! it can get a little weird talking to myself.” she flashed another grin the moment their eyes met, genuinely relieved that she could receive responses to her rambling. “i knew it! or, i didn’t really know for sure, but i just had a feeling it was you. it’s so great to finally meet you!” shiah had to stop herself from reaching out to offer her hand, remembering at the last minute that she needed the dark water to cover herself. “that’s me! sorry, i should have introduced myself first. i don’t believe wheein is capable of saying bad things about anyone, so i’ve only heard good things as well. she really adores you, and anyone wheein loves, i automatically love as well.”
it’s rare for jiho to feel better about being able to have a human form rather than the opposite; she generally enjoys being a fox a lot more because she’s not only faster and smaller that way, but her animal form opens up so many opportunities for her that she can’t fully explore as a human. for example, going on adventures is a lot more fun when she’s a fox because she needs to worry less about injuring herself and is therefore able to explore spots and corners she wouldn’t dare to otherwise – or more like, that would be more dangerous. ‘not daring’ isn’t really part of her dictionary when it comes to adventures.
“i know someone who talks to themselves a lot, so it wouldn’t really bother me,” jiho giggles, thinking of said person suddenly and his habit of speaking and singing to himself frequently to entertain himself. it’s a habit she can’t relate to but is somewhat amusing from an outsider’s point of view; but it’s not like jiho would be judging.
the girl’s reaction to finding out that jiho is, indeed, the infamous little sister of wheein is quite heartwarming. jiho can’t help but feel touched by the fact that wheein’s been talking about her to almost everyone she knows – and in a positive light, at that! she wonders if the female is aware of their current situation and when jiho is reminded of everything that recently happened between the two of them, she’s automatically flooded by a mild form of sorrow. but she realizes just how descriptive her face usually is, so she shakes her head, along with the thoughts out of it and instead, flashes the other a wide smile. this is not the time to contemplate about wheein and their broken trust.
“either way, i’m super pleased to finally meet you, shiah,” jiho beams at the pretty girl, “and that makes me happy. i’m the same – anyone wheein loves and trusts, i love and trust, too!” a thought suddenly pops up in her mind and she furrows her eyebrows, tilting her head to the side. “does wheein usually do this thing with you, as well? i mean... you know, bathing in the lake fully naked.” she expects a negative response, knowing wheein; but after what has happened in the library, jiho is not sure that her believing she knows wheein means anything at all.
