why doesn't my mom understand that i'm not her?

being social with people i don't know is frightening and it's not as easy as 'facing my fears'.

so today during bio the teacher asked if anyone watched the game last night and this boy called out from the back and said, "what game? Oh you mean beyonce's concert?" i was the only one laughing.

So I had an epiphany today. This morning, I was talking to two of my close friends in the hallway. And we were talking and joking around; and I was making faces and just being silly. And I looked up, and there was a girl, with her friends, just staring at me with this look on their faces. It made me feel horrible and I wanted to shrivel up. I've always preferred for people to see me as shy and un-social, rather than weird and annoying. But I realized, that any girl who stands with her friends and stares at you, with disgust, or annoyance, or mockery on her face, is not worth your time. She is just a mean girl, but you, you are so much more.

so i started reading catcher in the rye and i've been reading for like 2 hours and let me tell you, this book is good shit, i can't figure out why i didn't read it earlier.
