Project for Awesome: Chance To Get Money to Palestinian Charities

Hello everyone!

I'd like to inform you of an opportunity to raise a lot of money for Palestinian charities.

Project for Awesome (P4A) is an annual charity livestream hosted by John and Hank Green to raise money for charity. Half of the money raised goes to Partners in Health and Save the Children, but the other half is split among charities voted for by viewers. In 2024, the P4A raised a total of $3,530,889.25.

Voting is open now until 11:59 am EST February 19th. You can vote for more than one video, and you can vote on multiple devices! Please consider reblogging this post, to spread the word!

Last year, the Nerdfighters for Palestine group got a TON of support for our videos, which is awesome, and we are SO grateful for that. Through Project for Awesome, UNRWA USA received a $37,000 grant to help Palestinians. For reference, UNRWA provides over half of the humanitarian aid in Gaza. The Palestine Children's Relief fund is a good charity, too, that helps the most vulnerable and their families. In short, this money goes to good use!

This year, with so many humanitarian aid organizations being impacted by the Trump administration's actions, and with the United States potentially pulling funding from UNRWA, any help we can give will be much much needed. Though there is a ceasefire agreement in place, the situation fragile. It is SO important that organizations, like PCRF and UNRWA are able to take this critical opportunity to provide relief to people who need it.

Thinking about the very first P4A where Hank and Brennan Lee Mulligan co-hosted one of the late time slots. The absolute crazed energy of that hour was wild then, and in retrospect it is even wilder. Anyway now they're intentionally co-hosting the midnight time slot together and I can only hope and pray that the banana loca appears for the fourth year in a row.
