@mpxkrystal continued from here:
Taking time off wasn’t going to magically fix her and all of her problems. So it was of no surprise to her that instead of sleeping in her on-call room like she was supposed to between rounds, she was at the coffee machine in the cafeteria of the hospital. What did surprise her, was when she lifted her head to meet the eyes of someone she knew well enough not to jump at the sight of, Tohil. Upon learning that the fire god she had foolishly healed not once but twice was also the father to one of her good friends, gave her an interesting relationship with the god. Krystal finished stirring the milk into her coffee before acknowledging the god before her.
“Don’t tell me you’re here for treatment? I’m still under watchful eyes after the last time…”
"please,” he says easily, an amused little smile appearing on his features as he takes in the clearly tired demigoddess opposite him. “i’m the one who keeps telling you i require no treatment and you should just put me in a fireproof room.” his eyebrows rise lightly as he takes her in. “which you seem to keep forgetting.”
he doesn’t make a big deal out of it, merely lets his gaze wander from the demigoddess to the cup of freshly made coffee in her hand - though one could argue the brew made in a hospital cafeteria is not worthy of carrying the name coffee, but he is hardly going to comment on that now, when he is more than well aware she is not in a position to go out and get herself a proper cup in the middle of the night.
“i’m actually here to see how you are doing,” he says then. “heard you were back in town and thought i’d check up on you.” there’s a small smile on his face as his gaze wanders over her features, the fire sparking in his eyes as usual, though his body temperature stays a surprisingly acceptable level of warm.
