Another Night On Mars|| Lorna, Lily, & Sam
Slinging her bag over her shoulder, Sam settled down on the bus stop bench, glancing both ways across the street for any sign of her incoming party members--party as in group, that is, because what they were heading off to do could hardly be described as a “party”. Venturing into a potential zone of no return, four reported cases of a mysterious disease in front of them, and no information from the press to guide them would probably be categorized more as an “insane expedition that does not come recommended.” But that was the thing wasn’t it? Lilly and Sam? They were the press. Stupid missions, jumping into enemy territory, asking the hard question was their job. As for Lorna? Well, Sam wasn’t about to deny anyone a sense of adventure.
She set her bag down between her feet, keeping the handle twisted around her wrist so at least if a passerby tried to steal it, she’d give them a bit of an obstacle. While she waited, she pulled out her phone and checked the bus times: ten more minutes, and then an roughly six hour bus ride. Today was going to be amazing.
