Jack had just finished setting some stuff up when he heard a knock on the door. He hurried over to it and opened it. “Hey, come on it” Jack said, letting Mingyu in. “So, I wasn’t sure like, what you needed. We have, alcohol, coffee, tea and water. There’s probably some soda around here too but I’d have to go a search for that” Jack said with a grin, gesturing over to the kitchen. “Plus then we have like sweets, savory stuff, plus I mean, healthy stuff but even I don’t wanna snack on that.” He laughed before closing the door behind them. “I wasn’t sure like, what level you were at for freaking out, so sorry if it’s a bit, uh, overwhelming” Jack said, scratching the back of his head “How are you doing by the way?”

Arcade & Pizza

Jack parked his car and got out, walking into the arcade. Seeing Mingyu out front, he walked up to him. “Hey, hope you haven’t been waiting long” He said with a grin, before heading into the arcade. He hadn’t been here in ages, and probably hadn’t been a regular since he was in elementary school. He still remembered how the bright lights and sounds made everything seem so cool, and how the teenagers that hung around always looked so grown up and like they ruled the place. Now Jack could see how it really was, with the bright lights and loud noises being distracting enough that the kids wouldn’t even notice all the money they were using, and how the teenagers that had ruled the area were actually just nerds. However, Jack was also just a nerd, and thus it was like a breath of fresh air. “So, have you been here before? If not, I can point out the best machines to play on. I know it can be overwhelming, but I promise there are a solid amount of gems in here. or at least there were” He said, chuckling.

Jack quietly shut the door to his room behind him, checking the hallway before turning right and walking about as quickly as his body would let him. While he loved working at the hospital, he hated being in it for any reason that wasn’t work. The only upside was that he knew all the secret pathways to get where he needed to. Right this second, he didn’t have a destination, but he wanted to get away from his room, away from the doctor who had looked down his glasses when asking Jack questions, like he was a child. Jack leaned against the wall, arm crossed over his waist as he caught his breath. He was about to go and turn left, headed towards the hallway with the vending machine that would occasionally spit out two things for the price of one if you were lucky, when he spotted a white coat coming down the same hallway. Luckily, the doctor had his head down, looking at notes, so Jack opened the door closest to him and hurried in, shutting it behind him. Glancing through the glass window of the door, Jack watched as the guy walked by, before letting out the breath he’d been holding. He turned back around and saw someone that he recognized “Mingyu! What happened??”
