Once again, Morgan stayed on the field after the team had left. She loved soccer with all her soul, but that wasn’t the only reason why she loved to stay out there when everyone had left. She felt free for precious moments, with no one breathing on her ear, or screaming orders at her. No whistles, no booming voices asking more of her.
By the time she fell on her back, she was exhausted. She gave her all, and no one could ask anything from her then. It was only then when she was allowed to breathe, to be herself. It was refreshing, but she knew the feeling wouldn’t last.
At least it was the weekend, and she didn’t have to worry about anything or anyone for the time being. Her assignments could wait at least another day, but she was far too responsible to push them until last minute. Thankfully, she had no practice on Saturday which meant she could sleep in some more. Of course, at some point during the day she would back to the pit, but she had decided to explore the town a little bit. Her baby needed to run free as well.
A glimpse of movement caught her attention and she smiled when she saw who was there. Some people weren’t half bad.
“Hey, were you looking for me?“ She said with her cocky grin.
Morgan only lifted herself into her elbows, broadcasting her sun kissed skin and the abs blatantly on display. She didn’t mind people ogling her, and much less when they were so pretty.
Characters: Finn & Natalie
Summary: After a period of ‘weirdness,’ Finn and Natalie spend some time together.
Notes: I proofread nothing.
Natalie was still jumping around and making lightsaber noises even as she sat in the passenger seat of Finn's truck. She was sure he'd had a hard time keeping his arm around her all the way to the car from the theater, but she was so hyped up about the movie that she couldn't help herself. "AND THAT ADORABLE LITTLE ROBOT!" Finally she giggled and settled, realizing the growling of her stomach was probably louder than any explanation she could make. "I just think that was the best one so far--Do you think Rey is Luke's daughter? I think Rey is Luke's daughter." she nodded, adjusting her seatbelt.
Finn watched Natalie out of the corner of his eye, wondering how it was that he found probably the only hot girl on earth who liked Star Wars this much. Not that he was super into the movies or anything - they were cool but he didn't geek out like Sam might - but it was a pretty big deal that she had so many feelings about the movie and she had no problem sharing them. "I guess she could be. I wasn't paying attention to the movie as much as the girl I'm with so I didn't really notice that stuff." He turned just long enough to give her a little wink before turning into the restaurant parking lot. If he was being honest, the food interested him more than the movie but he thought keeping that to himself was a good idea at the moment.
Natalie nudged his shoulder, rolling her eyes and smiling playfully. "OKay, Romeo." That was something she'd been calling him any time he did or said something dorky sweet, ever since he mentioned climbing up the side of her house to give her a kiss. She kinda liked it. When they pulled into the parking lot her belt was off and she was hopping from the car before he even had the engine all the way off. "Come on, slow poke! Your girl's hungry!" she teased, coming around to his side of the truck and waiting for him to get out so she could reach for his hand.
Finn could only laugh at how bouncy Natalie was at the moment. Any other girl, it might have been scary or he might think she was on meth or something. With Natalie, that's just who she was - bubbly, happy, and ready to go. "Alright, alright." He climbed out of the truck and draped his arm over her shoulders. "I wouldn't want to get between you and the cheese fries."
Natalie groaned for a different reason than before as he mentioned cheese fries. She looked up at him with hopeful eyes. "Ugh, yes, will you share some with me?" If he didn't immediately agree, she was ready to break out the pout. Inside, she smiled at the hostess who offered them a table. "Can we get a booth instead?" she asked, wanting to be able to sit close to Finn. Chairs just weren't as comfortable. As she slid into the booth she padded the spot next to her and grinned up at him. When asked for their drinks, she piped up quickly. "Coke, please!"
Finn was more than willing to share cheese fries with her, even if he could a whole order by himself. "I'll share, but you have to know it's only because I really like you. Usually, I share cheese fries with no one." He scooted into the booth next to her, is arm stayed around her shoulders after she ordered a Coke and he did the same. "I'm surprised you didn't get a milkshake with two straws." He leaned over to kiss her cheek, not bothering with a menu since he knew what he wanted.
Natalie scrunched up her nose at him and shook her head. "Nah. Just like you don't normally share cheese fries, I don't share milkshakes." she teased, feeling playful. "And I don't like you enough yet to change that." As if. She would so share a milkshake with him, but after the moment they shared earlier where she seemed to be the more vulnerable of the two, she was trying to be cute. To make things light. Banter a little and forget about the tough stuff. "So are you sure you're okay with me joining Glee Club? Puck and Santana are pretty adamant about it and there's supposed to be this fun thing tomorrow." She'd been unsure about the whole thing for quite some time now but Finn's approval would be the final straw.
Finn wasn't really offended by her comment since he got the impression that she was way more into him than she wanted to let on. He was okay with her joking around about it since he had a feeling it wasn't easy for her to deal with all the feelings she had right now. "I don't mind. I'm sure it'll make Rachel happy to have someone else on the team since numbers are important, I guess. Plus, I'll have someone to sit next to." He smiled at her, the curve of his mouth a little lopsided. "If you want to do it, I'm totally behind you. Taylor told me that you guys did some epic karaoke so I'm not surprised you're joining."
Natalie was glad he seemed supportive. The last thing she needed was for him to think she was trying to invade his space or rub them in Quinn's face. She just... wanted more friends. "Taylor's too sweet for her own good." Shaking her head, "I don't sing anything like some of these girls can. I just mess around, is all." Modesty or lack of self confidence... either way. When the waitress brought their drinks she thanked her and carefully unwrapped her straw. With the edge still hugging the tube, Natalie pointed it at Finn and blew in the other end so it would shoot off and hit him in the chest. Laughing, she put the straw in her drink and took a big gulp. "So when's our next sport start so I can come watch you run around in cute little outfits and get sweaty?" With her tongue between her teeth, she wiggled her eyebrows again.
Finn took his drink from the waitress and thanked her with just enough time to be shot at by Natalie. Hand reaching up, he ruffled her hair because that's how he dealt with cute dorks sometimes... not that he'd ever had one so cute like him this much or want to be in his vicinity for any length of time. "Basketball starts... I don't really know. Soon, I guess? I should probably get a start date on that. And you make the uniform sound girly somehow." Not that he cared much. He wasn't even all that sure he wanted to play basketball but he also knew he probably wouldn't get out of it because he was one of the taller guys in school. "You know you don't have to do that stuff, right? Like, I would totally love if you came out and cheered for me but if you don't like sports, you're not like required to come to the games."
Natalie just shook her head at him. He was seriously such a goober. "I wanna come. Support my school /and/ my guy." That was her logic. Besides, it wasn't like she had much else going on after school on a regular basis. "I'm sure my dad would wanna come to some of them, too." Just as she said that their waitress reappeared to take their order and Natalie was quick to say what she wanted. "Can I get a bacon cheeseburger and an order of cheese fries please?" She said it in her sweetest voice, as it saying sweeter would make her look less like a pig. She liked food, and she didn't care.
Finn didn't let his excitement show about the fact that both she and her dad might come to the game. "That'd be cool. Did your dad get a chance to come to your school stuff before you moved here?" The waitress showing up cut off her chance to answer and he ordered a double bacon cheeseburger.
Natalie waited for the waitress to leave before picking up right where they left off. "I didn't do a whole lot of school stuff. He did come to every single play I did, though. Even when I was just backstage crew. He still came and brought me milkshakes." The thought made her smile. She really did have the best and most supportive dad. "So I'm sure he'd love if I asked him to come to your games with me. He likes to feel included and he loves sports, so. Win-win." Plus, it would be a chance for her to bond with her dad a little more, since he worked so much.
Finn thought of her dad doing all of that stuff with her made him smile the way she was. "I wouldn't want your dad to feel left out. It's not as exciting as real sports can be but if it makes him happy, I'm totally down with him coming. Just not on the same nights as my mom because if they hooked up, that'd be totally weird."
Natalie joined the chat 95 minutes ago
Natalie would make a face. "And you just assume that he and your mom would hook up just because they meet?" She found this to be ridiculous because she didn't see her dad ever dating. Or even expressing interest in other women. Not that she didn't want him to be happy, but she just.. didn't see it as a problem. Still, though... "Why would that be weird?" she wanted to hear him say it.
Finn hadn't meant to say that her dad would be instantly in love with his mom or anything if they met. He also hadn't thought about the fact that another lady in her dad's life might be kind of upsetting for Natalie. "I guess I'm just use to guys who meet my mom liking her. It's partly because there aren't a lot of single ladies her age in Lima." He leaned back against the booth, getting a little nervous at her questions. "I don't know. It'd just be weird to worry more about walking in on my mom making out with my girl's dad then my girl's dad walking in on me making out with my girl. "
Natalie nodded and kept her smile. It wasn't quite the answer she was looking for... or hoping for. But it was still pretty cute. Leaning forward, she nuzzled her nose against his and placed a soft hiss to his lips before whispering against them. "I really like it when you call me your girl." Another kiss and she was sitting regular in her seat again, messing with her napkin. She'd probably need more than just this one once the melty cheese got here, so she hoped the waitress was on top of that.
Finn had barely gotten his head wrapped around the fact that she was kissing him before her lips was gone and she was playing with her napkin. He would have gone in for another kiss had the waitress not showed up with their food, which held his interest a lot less now that Natalie had kissed him. Before he dug in, knowing it was going to get a little messy once he did, Finn kissed her cheek. "I really like calling you my girl."
Natalie ate happily by her guy's side, repeating those words in her head multiple times just for the sake of hearing them. There were occasions when she had to rub cheese or ketchup from his face, replacing it with a kiss--and where he had to do the same, but things remained light between them. Overall, she considered it a good day. That is, when she was able to push aside the few things that were eating at her...
Finn was a messing eater but Natalie seemed to embrace it, wiping off his face and kissing him. If there'd ever been a girl who embodied the title of his girl, it was Natalie. By the time he walked her to her front door and kissed her good night, he was practically giddy about everything that happened that day. His hope was that it would happen again soon.
Characters: Finn & Natalie
Summary: After a period of ‘weirdness,’ Finn and Natalie spend some time together.
Notes: I proofread nothing.
Finn was so ready for the school day to be over, so when the bell sounded, he was the first one up and out the door. The fact that he was hanging out with Natalie after school? That was total bonus. He was glad that they were over all the weird stuff that they'd gone through since school had started again and he was looking forward to just spending some time, the two of them. So when he approached her locker, he grinned from ear-to-ear. His arms slipped around her from behind but he held off on kissing her cheek - he knew the whole PDA thing was still up in the air. "Hey." He gave her a little squeeze before letting go, not wanting to smother her.
Natalie spent all day anticipating school's end. Which was normal, on any given day. But on THIS day, there was a bit more to it. It would be the first time her and Finn really hung out since all that craziness happened and she needed this to know they were really gonna be okay. The little hugs in the hall and the ten second hand holding didn't do much to temper her doubts, so when he came up behind her at her locker, it was hard to hide her anxiousness. Even if she was smiling from ear to ear as she turned to him. "Hi, you." Lifting her arms up to lay her hands on his shoulders, she tilted her head with her smile. "Lemme tell you, after dissecting that little piggy, getting to look at and smell you is a HUGE upgrade." she giggled.
Finn didn't know how but Natalie somehow managed to make something as gross as dissecting a pig something to laugh about. He moved his arms around her again, this time leaning down to kiss her as he did. "Do I smell as good as your lips taste because I definitely see the upgrade then." It wasn't a long kiss but he wanted her to know things between them like this were okay. Sure, they weren't going to like make-out in front of everyone in the hall but he liked the close moments and now they'd be much easier to have since he knew he wasn't hurting anyone. "If you're ready, I can carry your books or your bag or whatever. Guys still do stuff like that, right?"
Natalie was both taken off guard and elated by the kiss. If possible, her grin was even bigger when he pulled away than it was when he leaned in. Her cheeks were even starting to hurt. "I'm not sure. What do they taste like? Blueberries?" she had just eaten a poptart, after all. "Either way, you smell way better. Smelling you usually makes me want a grilled cheese." she giggled again, then turned over her shoulder to shut her locker. She didn't wanna move too far away from him just yet. "They do if they're sweet. You gonna be sweet, Hudson?" Teasing him was her way of flirting. It's just about all she knew how to do. She handed him her bag with two of her books in it and just carried her purse.
Finn took her bag, draping it over his shoulder, then gathered her books in one arm so he could put the other one around her. "I don't know, just that they taste good. And I'm a pretty sweet guy when I want to be. I guess you must inspire me to do that." He walked through the halls, noticing people looking at them but not really caring. He was use to people staring. Before, he'd thought it was all about him being with Quinn and them being some kind of golden, popular couple or something. Now? He figured they were just curious about him, and that Natalie was really pretty so... who wouldn't stare, really? "Got anything specific you want to do this afternoon?" He realized how it sounded, especially they'd been talking about fooling around a lot lately, and tried to come up with a quick cover. "I meant like movies or something else."
Natalie couldn't believe how happy she was. The minute he put his arm around her she felt like she had a spotlight on her. Half, because EVERYONE was looking--which was so new to her. She was used to being pretty much invisible. And half because she just felt so.. warm. "I will gladly take credit for that." Leaning into his side, she followed him down the hall and made eye contact with a few people, smiling. "Actually, I haven't seen the new Star Wars movie, yet." she tested, glancing up at him and trusting him to lead her away from any walls she might be at risk of walking into. "Maybe we could go chill at one of our houses until the next show time?"
Finn didn't believe that any girl could be this cool, but here was his pretty, blond... whatever she was... who wanted to watch Star Wars? If he hadn't been holding the door open for her as they exited the school, Finn definitely wouldn't have believed that it was real. That she was real. "That sounds cool. I've seen it once already but I could definitely see it again. So let's just go to your house and hang for awhile, then we'll catch a later show. Maybe get some burgers or something after?"
Natalie curtsied as she walked through the door, just being her normal dorky self. Once on the other side of it, she waited for him to catch up and leaned right back into his side. This was all like something out of one of her favorite shows and she couldn't believe it was happening to her. She liked it. She liked it a lot. "Okie dokie, artichokie. I gotta feed stark and let him outside for a bit, anyway. Especially if we'll be out a little later." Which she hoped they would. The more time with him, the better. Something she fully hoped was portrayed by the way her eyes sparkled when she looked up at him as she said it.
Finn was quickly at her side again, smiling like a fool at her silly acts and comments. He'd never known he would like that kind of thing, but it actually made him like her more that she had a fun personality and that she wasn't afraid to be who she was in front of him or anyone else. "Later, but not too late. I want to make a good impression, ya know? That way you're dad'll trust me more with you." He nodded, knowing that her dad was okay with him based on them having met that week but Finn knew that could change in like half a second if he did something stupid.
Natalie grinned, laying her head tot he side against his chest for a moment as they walked. She absolutely loved that he was so willing to impress her dad. Being a daddy's girl, her dad was the most important man in her life and always will be. Boyfriend or not. "Cars and sports are the quickest ways to his heart and you hit both of those topics in one day. I swore I'd never get you two to stop talking." she laughed, feeling light hearted. "On weekends, my curfew is Midnight, but I have to be home and at least in the yard or on the porch by 11."
Finn wasn't going to say so but... he liked having stuff in common with her dad. Since he'd never had one, it was cool to talk about guy stuff with a guy who liked the same things. It was almost like Finn hadn't missed out on all the stuff other guys with dads had. Being around her dad almost made Finn feel kind of normal. "I can get you home by eleven, then. I don't know how long we'll last on the porch though. It's kind of cold and out. Would standing inside the front door count? Or sitting in my truck? It'd be a lot easier to kiss you there but I can probably work with either one."
Natalie nodded, "I think the driveway counts. Pretty sure that rule is just so he can see me and call to me if necessary." She answered him before she really considered the rest of his reasoning and blushed as soon as she did. "Yep. Driveway totally counts. Yep. Uh huh." Nodding vigorously. Anything if it meant more kisses.
Finn laughed a little, shaking his head at how cute her babbling was at times, especially when it showed enthusiasm for them kissing. "Meet you at your house then?" He leaned over, opening the driver's door to her car so that she could get in. He was kind of use to doing things like a gentlemen, though it was totally different not being reminded constantly that he had to or what he hadn't done correctly.
Natalie stepped around the door so she could lower herself in, but before she did, she turned to him and pouted, swaying her hips. "One for the road?" she murmured, asking as politely and cutely as she possibly could for a kiss to hold her over.
Finn had a feeling that the longer this thing with them went on, the weaker he was going to get to that pout of hers. As it was, he already couldn't resist it. "Only cus you asked really nicely." His lips touched hers, this time a little more reluctant to let go. He'd have wondered why he'd been so opposed to this kissing in public thing if any of his brain cells could have focused on anything other than her soft lips and the curve of her bottom lip. It was probably a good thing that the car door was between them, Finn's only assurance that he wouldn't totally embarrass himself with how much he liked the kiss. "See you in a bit."
Natalie hummed sweetly against his lips, following every movement of them gladly until they were forced apart. She groaned a little, but offered him a smile and roll of her eyes. "Okay, okay." Lowering herself into her car and shutting her door, she waited until she saw him get into his truck before starting her car and pulling away. The car ride home was spent mostly belting to the radio. And once, yelling to herself at some guy who cut her off. Regardless, pulling into the driveway and seeing that her dad's car was not yet there, made her smile. Meant they could get in some couch time before he got home. As she got out of her car and shut the door, she looked down the street to see if Finn was close behind before going into her house.
Finn waited for Natalie to pull out of the parking lot before he started his truck and made a turn toward her house. He had one stop to make, wanting to do something kind of nice for her. They were just grocery store flowers that cost ten bucks, but they looked kind of pretty and he had a feeling that even if she wasn't the kind of girl who liked flowers, Natalie would like these. Or at least he hoped as he pulled up in front of her house. She was sitting on the porch step, he assumed waiting for him. "Sorry." He grabbed the flowers before running around the front of the truck. "I had to make a stop for these." He held them up to her, a hopeful look on his face. "I know they're not like fancy roses or anything special like that. Just pretty flowers for my girl."
Natalie didn't mind waiting, although she was starting to worry. She took out her phone and answered a few texts. Called her dad to see if he'd be late getting home and to let him know she'd probably be out when he did but that there was something in the freezer for him to heat up for dinner. She'd just said her goodbyes when Finn finally pulled up and her smile was back. Standing to greet him, she only made two steps before she was halted in her tracks by his sweet gesture. The look on her face could only be described as that of pure awe as she took the flowers from him and buried her whole nose in them just like she'd seen in all the movies. It really was like a reflex, she found. They didn't have much scent but the petals were soft against her nose and the tickling made her giggle. "This is the sweetest thing any guy has ever done for me." she beamed, reaching for his hand so she could tug him down for a soft kiss before leading him up to her porch. Quickly, she took out her keys and let them both in, immediately laughing as Stark practically tripped down the stairs to get to them.
Finn hadn't known how she was going to react but her practically wearing the flowers like a hockey mask was more than he expected. The kiss she gave to thank him, however, was more than welcome. He was about to try and say something witty when she tugged him into the house and the dog attacked them. "He's probably been waiting to go outside." He crouched to give Stark a little scratch behind his ears. "Why don't I take him so you can put those in water?"
Natalie reluctantly let go of his hand so he could do just that, heading towards the kitchen with her flowers. "Mmkay. Try not to miss me too much." she teased, disappearing behind the wall. She took out a vase they hardly used and that her dad probably didn't even know they had, filled it with water and cut the stems of the flowers at an angle before rearranging them inside. On her way out to carry them into the living room, she stopped at the fridge and grabbed them each a Gatorade. After setting the vase on the coffee table she flopped onto the couch and just looked at them, contrasted against the backdrop of her empty fireplace, and smiled.
Finn put the dog on his leash before making his exit. "I won't have to try too hard." Not that Stark was going to really give him the chance, the dog finding a spot to do his quickly. They were back inside, with Finn going one way and Stark going the other, in what felt like less than a minute. He took his time, however, watching Natalie ogle her flowers like a giddy school girl. "You really like those, huh?" He slipped into the room and down next to her on the sofa. "I can't imagine what'd happen if I got you really nice ones."
Natalie's head snapped to him as he re-entered, reaching an arm out, eager to have him back next to her. "These are super nice ones. More expensive doesn't mean better." she explained, shimmying her whole body to tuck into his side. She'd always been real easy to please and didn't believe material things were all that important. Sure, they were nice. And she loved getting presents. But it was just stuff. Actions and words and moments are what made things special. "So. Do I gotta pretend to ask you about watching T.V. or playing a game? Or can we just skip right to cuddling and kissing?" With her bottom lip between her teeth, she looked right up into his eyes with her neck craned, goofily wiggling her eyebrows in a suggestive way. Of course, then she had to laugh at herself. But she was feeling light. Happy.
Finn liked how Natalie seemed to look at things. He never felt the need to impress her because she seemed to be able to find something beautiful in just about anything. It was actually kind of contagious, the flowers starting to almost look different to him when she talked. The thoughts, however, were quickly put out of his mind when she mentioned the T.V. and kissing. Even if he did almost laugh at her goofy eyebrows. "We can always just skip to the kissing." One arm slipped around her as his other hand moved along her tilted chin to her cheek. His lips moved to hers, then against them in a slow and steady exchange. He liked kissing her in any way he could, be he always liked savoring the first moments. Those were the ones he thought about when they were apart, mostly because they never lasted long. Still, they were amazing.
Natalie could kiss Finn for hours. Not that she'd had the chance to actually try and succeed, thus proving her theory--but she was pretty sure she definitely could. The way his lips felt against hers could make her forget anything and everything around her, just for the sake of focusing more on how he felt. She could practically pinpoint the areas of his body that let off the most heat and imagine the way her muscles twitched and tremored under his touches. --Oh, crap. It was thoughts like these that always had her moving from kissing, to a little more than kissing. Slowly, her body started leaning backward, her arms around him in the hopes that his would follow and she could get him to lay with her. Partially above her. The angle allowed for better vantage point to let her hands do a little exploring. Down his chest to his torso, stopping at his hips and moving their way back up.
Finn now got why they had to talk about the sex stuff and how far they could go because as soon as kissing heated up, he knew how easily it could get out of hand and fast. It was so easy for him to move with her, her laying against the sofa with him half on top of her. And when her hands were all over him? It would've been trouble if he didn't know what the rules were. His hand moved from her hip along her side, the slight cover of her forcing him to think about the mailman. His lips parted, his tongue tasting the bottom lip she'd had tucked between her teeth moments ago.
Natalie took the movement of his hands and the parting of his lips as permission. Like access granted, her tongue moved from between her newly parted lips to meet his, slowly at first. She didn't know how to do this very well, and even though she wanted to taste more of him, she didn't wanna slobber all over. slight flicks of her tongue and an adjustment of her hips caused a friction so new to her that she couldn't help but let out a little whimper. With this new tension building, her lips found his a bit more heated as her hand tucked under the low hang of his shirt to caress just the small strip of his bare hip and abdomen available to her now.
Finn was glad that Natalie didn't seem to hesitate when it came to... anything, really. He knew she'd been worried about not knowing a lot of stuff, and maybe not being good at it, but she'd get no complaints from him. The way her tongue moved urged him to let his move lazily against hers. He wasn't sure whether the sound she made was because of the heat of their kiss or the way their bodies seemed to rub against one another when she shifted. When he felt her soft fingers against his skin, he really didn't care. Mimicking her, he let his hand fall back down her side, his fingers moving just below the hem of her shirt. His thumb moved in a small circle there, her skin feeling smooth and delicate. It was about the best thing he'd ever felt.
Natalie wasn't sure how far they'd be going--heck, this... heavy petting they seemed to be doing wasn't anything in the eyes of most. What she did know was that she liked the sensations she was getting and she didn't feel the need to stop just yet. So she wasn't going to. Arching her back just enough to get some momentum, her hips shifted again and bucked up a bit this time to grind purposely where she'd gotten the most friction before. Another whimper sent her opposite hand from where it had been on his shoulder, to where it now was--tugging at his elbow and beckoning exploring hand further up. She didn't stop until she could feel his thumb at the wire to her bra. It left her breathless.
Finn could've been a lot more surprised about how insistent Natalie about having contact, but he wasn't. They wouldn't have talked about this stuff if she hadn't wanted to try it out. And he was more than happy to give her what she wanted, his hand moving at her urging. It may have been slow, but Finn wanted to give her plenty of time to be comfortable or stop if she wasn't. His palm covered her breast, his thumb smoothing over the front of her bra. His hips followed her slight momentum and pressed down against hers, a groan passing from him as he did.
Natalie had never been touched like this before. Truth be told, she felt a little awkward even touching her own body when washing it in the shower or while dressing it. But something about the way it felt to be touched by someone else... someone so gentle and who obviously cared so much about her comfort level... it was invigorating. With his groan still echoing in her ears, she had to push just a little bit further. It was obvious now that he was liking this, too, and she wanted him to feel as good as she did. This time, when she rocked her hips up against him, on the way down she bent her knees so they could shift to allow her legs to part to either side of him. Now that her thighs were hugging his hips, when she ground upward she got all the right friction in all the right places and let out the first real moan that had ever slipped past her lips. She felt it deep in her throat and stomach which made her smile even to herself at how amazing it was. Her hand in his hair now, tugging a little lightly there, she whispered to him. "A-are you okay? Is th-this okay?"
Finn didn't know how he was going to keep from doing something really stupid, or embarrassing, when her legs were wrapped around him and she was moaning. It was probably the sexiest sound he'd ever heard in his life, like praise he hadn't thought he'd get but he liked. A lot. It made him want things he'd never had but knew he shouldn't want too soon. "Yeah. I'm good." He noted the shakiness in her voice, not knowing if it was good or bad. "Are you?" His lips parted from hers so they could move gently along her jaw, finding a spot on her neck that was irresistible.
Natalie had a very sure and confident answer in mind when he first asked his question. But the moment his lips touched her neck the nerves in her body caused it to come out a bit ore unsure. "Nnnnnyeahh." she whined out, the fingers on one hand slipping in and out of the threads of his hair while the others dug her nails into his side. It cramped with the need to force his hips to do some of the movement, pushing and pulling contradictory to what her own hips were doing and creating the most delicious lull of pleasure. With the boiling in her stomach now reaching an all-time high, she had to squeeze her eyes shut to remain in control of something she didn't even know was happening. "F-finn... somethings...--I, I don't know what's--" Even as she stuttered out her warning, her hips moved faster a bit deeper in their search of the end she was now experiencing. Without any further warning the entirety of her was racked in what she could only describe as bliss. She was sweating under her shirt and panting in the space of his neck where her lips were trembling. Her knees shook as the rolling of her hips slowed to a stop and she could only twitch in the aftermath of what was her first ever orgasm. Oops?
Finn really had no idea what had happened until it had happened. He wasn't even sure what he thought had was... well, what it was. He'd never done that to a girl before and he wasn't entirely sure he had now. All he knew was that she'd moved her hips against him in hard, fast thrusts, and then she was shaking. He looked down at her, his hand smoothing hair off her face as he felt her chest rising against his hand, which was still under her shirt. "Hey." The word was barely a whisper. "I know I said this but... you're okay, right?" In his mind, he was kind of praying that he'd done nothing wrong.
Natalie could only nod, her eyes still closed and her breaths coming out in soft huffs between shaking lips. After a few swipes to them by her tongue, she managed a small smile and another nod. "I'm okay. I'm good. I'm..." The hand that had been in his hair came around to his cheek so she could hold his face in place. Although she couldn't see him, she could feel him there and it made her feel a little better. With softest brush of her lips so his, the weight of what had just happened crashed down on her and the already pink tint of her cheeks had flushed full crimson. "I'm really, really good but really, really embarrassed." she admitted, placing his forehead to hers.
Finn's had slid from under her shirt, feeling like it was kind of out of place there now. "Don't be. It happens." Secretly, he was kind of cocky about the fact that he'd made it happen. Or he'd at least been in on it. He didn't want that to be how she remembered it, though. His forehead against hers, he let their noses bump a little before he pecked her lips gently. "I'm just glad you're good."
Natalie's smile faded just enough to be present, yet deflated the more she thought about how much of a mood killer that was. "You're just all kinds of my firsts, Mr. Hudson." she joked, hoping to lighten the mood to something more comfortable to her still easing body. "Can you just... hold me for a minute?" --and not look at me? She wanted to add that last part for the sake of her burning cheeks, but didn't want to alarm him as to the state of her thoughts. Instead, she tried to shift to the side enough to curl into him. She needed a moment with her thoughts but was not looking forward to the chill she'd feel at separating from him. It was strange, really. How almost right away she felt some sort of attachment to the boy holding onto her. Vulnerability. It only heightened her question of how any girl could be with a guy and feel nothing.
Finn wasn't really the sappy type, or at least he didn't think so. When it came to firsts, some of it was important but obviously everything was to her and he didn't want to disregard her feelings on the matter. "I can hold you." He let her move around and get comfortable and he moved so she could be. Both his arms wrapped around her, holding her close to him but trying to give her a moment at the same time. She seemed to be going through a lot, which he could understand since this had been a big deal for her. He laid there with her, kissing her forehead once, a grin that she couldn't see resting easily on his face.
Characters: Finn Hudson and Natalie Hastings
Summary: Finn and Natalie spend a quasi romantic New Years Eve together. All the fluffy goodness.
Notes: Minimal proofreading happened.
Finn ran a hand through his hair, which was about as much 'getting ready' he was willing to do other than shower and put on clean clothes. Not having to impress a girl was a big change for him and he was kind of liking it. He was kind of liking her - a lot - if he was being honest. Just the thought of the way her laugh sounded made him grin as he snatched up his car keys and scooted down the stairs. It wasn't a long drive to her house and he as knocking before he knew it, jamming his hands in his pockets as he waited.
Natalie was freaking out a little less, but a lot more, this time around. It was no longer her first date, and she was much more comfortable with Finn now. The troubling thing was this burning anxiousness in the back of her mind that she kept trying to repress. Which was much easier when she was focusing on the excitement. When the door sounded, she skipped up to it, fully draped in her prettiest knee length dress. Sure, it was cold outside. But they weren't going outside so she didn't see a problem with it. As she opened the door, her face lit up. Her eyes taking him, "Hey, you." She murmured, absentmindedly swaying her hips so the skirt of her dress could flutter about her legs. Needless to say, she wasn't used to wearing anything but pants. Stepping back, she gestured to the living room with the other arm. "Come on in. Make yourself at home. Beware of the puppy, he's a little excitable." At that she had to giggle, because her little canine was already hopping around the tall guys' legs and yelping. She just stood there and looked at him, a bit of a dreamy quality to her expression. "I'm really happy you're here. I made so much food!" As if THAT was the only reason.
Finn was glad she'd mentioned the puppy or he might have tripped over the little guy. Crouching down, he gave the dog a little scratch behind the ears, thinking it was funny how something so small and bouncy suited Natalie so perfectly. "What's his name?" He looked up at her for a moment before standing, the new dog’s new name firmly planted in his mind, and slipping off his shoes - his mom always told him it was rude to walk through someone else's house in his dirty shoes. "You look really pretty, by the way." Leaning down a little, he kissed her cheek then redirected his attention at the mention of food. "I'm always up for eating."
Natalie absolutely adored watching her two boys interact. Not that she'd say that aloud or anything. Giggling, "His name is Stark. He's kind of a lady's man and he prances around doing pretty much whatever he wants, so it seemed fitting." When she had Finn's attention back she did her best to hide the blush at the kiss on her cheek, instead focusing on the meal she prepared for them. "Thanks..." She whispered, biting her lower lip before spinning on her heels to face the kitchen. "Go ahead and sit down! I'll bring in some of the trays and we can put on a movie or something--I'm starving!" As she made her way to the kitchen she was hollering over her shoulder. She had a bad habit of being a little too excitable, too. On the table there were bowls of different chips and candies she'd already laid out. Stark hopped happily up on the couch as soon as the other guy was close enough to it, hoping to get more attention. And Natalie returned a few moments later, walking so carefully with a huge tray, that you'd think she was dodging land mines. Even her face was concentrated on the large serving bowl, her tongue stuck between her teeth in focus.
Finn saw her cheeks turn pink but didn't really think of it. He liked that she seemed to appreciate little stuff like that. He went in the opposite direction, following the dog to the sofa and taking in the smorgasbord of food sitting in front of him. Glancing back in the direction she went, Finn snuck the dog a little treat. "Don't tell your mom." He scratched the dog with that hand then popped something into his mouth with his clean one.

Natalie made her way around the couch, maneuvering not so smoothly and dropping a roll right into Finns lap. "Whoops." She smiled slyly with a small apology, then sat the tray on the table. She pointed to each thing as she explained. "So this is my grandmas famous beef stew, perfect for cold days. I don't make it as good as she does but it still tastes pretty good. And those rolls I told you about, aaaaannnnddddd--" before speaking the rest of her sentence, she'd do a drum roll on her thighs as she stepped around him to sit on his opposite side. When she plopped, her hands would flourish. "Sparkling apple juice, and grape juice." Pretending to whisper, she'd lean in as if telling a secret. "Non alcoholic. I swear I'm not trying to get you drunk." Pulling away, she giggled and grabbed for the plastic wine glasses. She was clumsy enough without adding glass to the mix.

Finn 's eyes widened as she described the stew. "You made this special?" It was a little surprising to him - the fact that she'd even put thought into him having a decent time tonight was - but he just put his arm around her and leaned in to kiss her temple this time. He would've kissed her on the lips but he wanted that kiss to be special and this wasn't the moment. Not yet anyway. "This is really awesome. I can't believe you did like a recipe that's been handed down and stuff. I'm not going to lie... I'd have been happy with a pizza. This is way better, though. Way better." The juice was pretty cute, and totally her according to Finn. "And it would take a lot more than one this to get me really drunk so no worries there."
Natalie could feel the make up nearly melting my off her face at this point. He was being a lot more touchy this time, and she liked feeling his lips on her skin. The little cheek and forehead kisses would easily be her next favorite thing, after hand holding. Slyly--or so she thought--she leaned more into him and shrugged one shoulder. "I figured we'd end the year off right. Plus, you said you wanted to try these rolls and they're the best with soups and stews!" Reluctantly, she pulled from his side to start pouring into their glasses. A few times, she'd have to snap her fingers at Stark to get him to calm down, so he eventually grew bored and went to go find some trouble to get into. Natalie just smiled and shook her head at the pup before handing Finn his glass and taking her own. "A toast. To... New and exciting things and people, for a new and exciting year." Was that subtle enough? Whatever.
Finn smiled to himself as Natalie leaned into him a little. She wasn't trying too hard - she never did - and he was liking it more each time they hung out. Sure, this was only the second time but he knew that liking being around her this much had to mean that he was in the right place. "The rolls are definitely a nice touch. You really thought all of this stuff through." Finn took his glass, holding it up to hers as she spoke. "I can drink to that." He clinked his glass lightly against hers, eyeing the spread in front of him as he took a drink.
Natalie grinned as their glasses clinked, taking a sip and eyeing him while he eyed the food. He was seriously so cute. "I saw that in a movie once and always wanted to do it." she giggled, referring to her toast and setting her glass down. Finally, she started installing bowls and ladling out some stew for each of them. Speaking as she did so. "So do you wanna put on a movie while we eat? Or I could put on some music." Looking at him over her shoulder as she grabbed a roll for herself, she smiled and blurted what she was once again thinking. "Gosh, you're cute." Then her eyes went wide when she realized she'd said it out loud this time. Obviously embarrassed.
Finn grinned, glad he could be part of her movie dream come true. "Cool. You can scratch glass clinking off of your bucket list." He took his bowl from her full of stew, the delicious scent hitting his nose and making his stomach rumble. He'd barely had the spoon in his hand, downing the bite before she was asking questions and blurting out how cute she thought he was. His mouth crooked into a lopsided grin. "Music is fine." He set down his bowl, a real challenge at the moment because he was really hungry. "You're cute too. Especially when you blush." His thumb swiped gently over the curve of her cheek. He'd wanted to save the kiss for midnight, figuring that'd be special enough for her and she would be able to remember it easily. It was too hard to stop, though, when everything felt pretty... perfect. Leaning in, he made sure to be slow so she could stop him if she wanted to.
Natalie hung her head with a blush when he responded to her outburst. He was also very sweet. He never made her feel stupid for her own personal brand of crazy. His hand on her cheek caught her attention, causing her head to tilt up to encourage the gesture. She wasn't used to any sort of physical attention and even something as delicate as a brush of thumb to cheek had her heart hammering. Or maybe it was the fact that he was leaning in closer and he smelled so good. Boys always smelled good. She didn't register what he was actually doing--or what she thought he was doing, until she could feel his breath on her lips and it made her stomach catch on fire. Ever so slightly, she leaned forward to meet his advance, eyes closing so he couldn't see the panic or anxiousness in them. Oye, this is happening.
Finn felt a little relieved when she leaned in too - it was in a movie or something that girls had to come in at least ten percent or the kiss shouldn't be happening. For a split second, he wished he'd put on chapstick before he left the house or at least licked his lips so she wouldn't be grossed out if they were like dry or something. Hers weren't, a fact he realized as soon as he touched his to them. It was like they were just the right shape to fit with his, and they tasted like something good - not sweet or overpowering, just cool and light.
Natalie whimpered the moment their lips touched, feeling the friction in the very pit of her stomach. At risk of seeming too eager, she leaned in much further to press more firmly against his lips. She had no idea what she was doing, all she knew was that she wanted more. Unsure of what to do with her hands, she brought one up to cradle is jaw, holding his face to hers and realizing for the first time how tiny her hands were. Just the tips of her fingers tucked into his hairline just as she parted her lips to get a better grip on his. She felt as though she were on fire and there was a whirlwind going on in her head, even if there was a calm happening between them for anyone who was looking on.
Finn didn't know how many people she'd kissed, if any, but he was really surprised how into kissing him she seemed. Carefully, he moved his arm around her when she moved a little closer, his hand cradling the small of her back as he parted his lips with hers. He didn't want to get too carried away with kissing, but it was almost impossible not to with her. Every touch of her lips settled a pleasant sensation low in his belly and he was on the verge of thinking about the mailman when he finally eased back. "Wow. I'm glad I didn't wait until midnight."
Natalie was in a daze when he finally ended their lip lock. She was glad he did, because she wouldn't have been able to. "Thank you." She whispered, her eyes still closed. She could still feel her lips tingling and the butterflies with flaming wings taking up all the space in her stomach she'd originally intended for food. After a moment she took a breath, stabilizing herself. Then she smiled, "I mean... I'm really glad, too. And... I hope we can do it again."
Finn could have forgotten all about the stew and the rolls to keep kissing her - food was awesome, but kissing someone he really, really liked and who seemed really into him trumped everything. "We definitely can." He had to tear his eyes away from her just to get focused on his surroundings and the fact that making out wasn't the reason he'd asked her to hang out. "Maybe we should eat first and then go back to it if you want to."
Natalie forgot about everything the minute his hand was on her face. Good, music, New Years--even her puppy all took a backseat to this new feeling of... Need. But she'd agreed with him, ducking her head to tuck some of her hair behind her ear with a smile. "Right. Yes. Food. I cooked." Clearing her throat, she situated herself on the floor with a pillow to sit on so she could eat, and used her remote to turn Pandora. "So is your mom okay with you staying out so late or are we being sneaky?" Her face showing her obvious amusement at that thought. She was never the rebel type but she always daydreamed about it.
Finn slowly picked his bowl back up, realizing that as good as the food smelled it still wouldn't be as good as holding her close to him. "She's working a double tonight since it's New Year’s Eve and people seem to do a lot more dumb stuff on this night. But I told her I was coming over to your house to celebrate. I also threw in that we might go to a party but get in early so she wouldn't worry too much about drinking or us doing stuff we shouldn't be."
Natalie smiled, "You told your mom about me?" That's the only thing she caught out of all of that. As she took a bite, she grinned even with her spoon in her mouth.
Finn didn't think mentioning Natalie to his mom was a huge deal, especially since his mom hadn't made one out of it. She'd smiled and said she was glad that he seemed to be feeling better. He caught the slightest hint of an excited smile on Natalie's face, though, so he figured she thought it was pretty cool that his mom knew. "A little bit. That we were hanging out and that you were new in town and I liked hanging out with you. I would've told her you were pretty and funny and cool too but I figured she might get all gushy about it so I just said you were pretty awesome. That other stuff she'll get to know the more we spend time together."
Natalie just stared at him as he spoke, memorizing every facial expression and twitch of his eyes. His nonchalance was endearing to her because she was so used to everything being exciting and amazing. Like he evened her out, or something. She couldn't imagine living in a world where everything wasn't embarrassing or where you didn't have to be in a hurry to say what you wanted before you forgot. How... Relaxing that must be. "Well. For your own sake, I didn't mention you to my dad. When I do, you'll know it. And you might wish I hadn't." She laughed, but she was serious. Her dad wasn't exactly the scary type, but he was still a single dad and Natalie was still his only daughter. If anything he'd just dad joke him to death. "Okay, so the trick is, to tear the toll in half and dunk it in the saucy part of the stew. And if you get a potatoe or a chunk of meat in there, that's perfect. I'm telling you, you'll never wanna stop eating." As she explained she'd be following her own logic, showing him how it was done. There may not be another girl out there who loved food and eating as much as Natalie.
Finn was in awe of her when she started explaining the stew stuff to him, amazed by any girl who wasn't afraid to eat her food and like it at the same time. "I'm not really worried about your dad. I mean, I don't have one but I figure all dads worry and stuff. As long as he's not going to break any of my bones for liking you, it should be good. But I'd leave out the kissing." Because with the way the words seemed to just spill out of her mouth, Finn could see her accidentally dropping that bomb. "I'd like to be able to do it again but if you're dad like, slugs me in the mouth or something, it wouldn't happen."
Natalie quirked an eyebrow at him in challenge, taking more bites of her food. Now that she was brought down from her initial high of first kiss bliss, and reminded of food deliciousness, it was a little easier to get her priorities in check. "We'll see if you're still saying that when you officially meet him." Her second thought would bring a light blush to her cheeks that she wasn't aware she was doing a horrible job at hiding. "I guess that means we'll just have to get all of our kissing out before he gets home, then." she murmured, a little embarrassed by those thoughts but smirking to herself. She was trying to be a bit more outgoing, especially since a specific conversation with her friends that made her realize... she was only gonna be young, once. Besides, she couldn't deny that his lips and having his arms around her was a very prominent thought in the back of her mind that probably wouldn't go away any time soon.
Finn liked back and forth Natalie. She started out as shy and sweet and a little bit unsure of herself when it came to the finer points of dating but could immediately more back into cute and confident and just all around comfortable in her own skin. She was... real. There was no mask that she tried to hide behind, and Finn didn't have to guess who she was or how she was. They weren't playing some game and he felt like he could actually get to know the real her. It was, in his mind, pretty great. "We might have to." He held up the second half of his roll, the first already devoured. "How can I not want to kiss a girl who gives me the most awesome food ever?"
Natalie , once again, lost all trains of thought when something in particular caught her attention. She wanted to focus on the kissing part, but... "You mean it?! You really like it? It's the first time I made it all by myself and I was really afraid it wouldn't turn out that great." she was hanging on his every word, boring her eyes into his face to make sure his expression was a truthful one. Now she couldn't wait to tell her Grandma that she'd actually nailed it. "Y'know... I made dessert, too." Back to the uncertainty of before, her expression was hidden behind her long locks of hair as she bent over to take one of the last few bites left in her bowl. But she'd definitely be getting seconds and she didn't even feel bad about it. "Homemade pineapple ice cream and twinkie cookies." This one, she made up all on her own when her dad got her that cool ice cream maker for Christmas last year.
Finn didn't like it when her face was hidden from him, mostly because he liked looking at her. Still, it felt like distance in a way and that was the last thing he wanted right now. Scraping the last bit of his stew up, he sat the bowl down and reached out to brush her hair behind her ear. "That sounds really good and I really like dessert. But maybe..." His lips perked slightly at the corners. "We could sit here awhile and just hang out. Talk or something."
Natalie absentmindedly tilted her head into his hand when he reached out to tuck hair behind her ear so she could feel his knuckles against her cheek. She really just liked any and every small touch, the friction of his skin reawakening the butterflies in her stomach. "I'm good with that." she whispered, offering him a sideways smile until she could finish her stew. Once done, she pushed her bowl aside and lifted herself back up on the couch so she could pay the space next to her for him to sit. Ballsy, she knew, but the inkling in her gut told her to go for the gold and scoot right over to his lap as soon as he'd settled in. Draping her legs over his, she curled right into his side to tuck herself away against him and looked up expectantly. "Whatcha wanna talk about? Cuz I could probably go on for days." She giggled.
Finn was glad that he didn't have to actually ask Natalie to cuddle into him, since he didn't think it was manly to just ask a girl like that. Offering might have been okay but he didn't jump at that either. Arms around her, he looked down. "I don't know. Anything." He liked just hearing her talk, which was different for him. "It can be silly stuff or serious stuff. Anything just... talk."
Natalie spent what felt like minutes--but what had actually stretched on for over an hour, going on and on about anything and everything under the sun. Once you got her going, it was difficult to get her to stop because one answer lead into another thought, which stemmed into a whole other story until she couldn't remember what she was originally talking about. There were moments during her ranting when she actually choked a little, her lungs way of reminding her that she needed to pause and take a breath. Each time, she'd giggle and blush, murmuring an apology and asking Finn a question so as to try and steer away from her doing all the talking. But sre enough, as soon as he said any one thing, it reminded her of some other story and she was off again. By the time she realized they'd been sitting there forever, she'd told Finn all about growing up in Dublin and a few really embarrassing moments in Middle school. She spoke of her friends back home, and all their animals. How she never had a mother of her own, and clung to her grandmother for that reason. All her favorite colors and the reasons why, and of course, about her weird little pet peeves. Random things that took some couples years to learn about each other as situations called for the knowledge, Natalie spilled out in just one night. She was just so happy to have someone willing to listen--and hold onto her while doing so--that she never wanted to stop. To stop talking would mean they would have to find something else to do, and that might mean not having his arms around her anymore. And she just... couldn't have that. "Wow... I'm sorry... I just monopolized that whole thing. I probably talked your ears off! Lemme see!" Even as she said it, she'd be tugging at his ears, playfully teasing herself while using it as an excuse to hold onto his face again. She really liked his face.
Finn had never truly listened to a girl talk, especially when one talked this much. It was different with Natalie, though. Like she was describing a great adventure that came straight out of a book. He'd have felt boring somehow with his simple answers and typical childhood kind of stuff, if she hadn't seemed interested in the stuff he was saying about his favorite foods or how Puck was the one who taught him to ride a bike when his mom couldn't. He could probably tell her anything if he let himself. Maybe he would do that at some point. For the moment, though, he liked hearing about her more and it made him grin when she apologized for spilling everything and played with his ear. "Nah. You're a good talker, if that makes sense. You didn't make my ears hurt or anything."
Natalie shook her head at him, a sweet smile playing at her lips. "You're too sweet, Finn Hudson. Too sweet for your own good." But she liked it, obviously. Yet again, something he'd been saying caught her attention, and she promised herself she'd get back to it. She had been meaning to, anyway. But first, she wanted to stretch her playful muscles a bit and see if she could figure out how much progress she'd made. Playing with his shirt, she tugged on some of the fabric between her fingers, tilting her head from side to side as if in thought as she spoke. "So... there's one thing that's bound to keep me quiet, at least for a little bit..." The thought alone would be making her cheeks flush. She wasn't too good at the blatant flirty stuff yet, but she'd get there.
Finn always thought that being 'sweet' was a bad thing, especially lately. What was that thing people always said? Nice guys finish last? He didn't feel that way with Natalie. She actually seemed to like him, despite having all the appeal of Forrest Gump, or so Santana once said, and there was no getting around how much he liked her. Especially when she did cute things like tried to flirt. "If you want a kiss, Nat, you don't have to ask." Forefinger under her chin, he tilted it upwards so their gazes connected and the shine in her eyes nearly made him catch his breath. This time, he wasn't as tentative. He definitely wasn't aggressive - he didn't want to freak her out - but he was more sure know that she liked kissing him and that he wasn't bad at it. He held her a little closer, his lips parting slightly as he did.
Natalie seemed to be coping in the opposite direction when it came to this whole kissing thing. The first time, she didn't know how much she'd like it. So now that she knew how good it felt and how much she wanted it, she fumbled a little more when he leaned in to do her bidding. But soon enough, she found her groove and settled nicely into a slow follow-the-leader type kiss that had her head and her stomach doing flip flops. Oddly enough, the only thing that could calm the rage of Nat-ranting in her brain, was to think of Santana. The things she'd taught her during their sleepover and the words she used to describe them. With the pointers cycling in her head, she outstretched a clammy palm to lay flat against Finns lower stomach, curving it around his waist in slow motion so as to hold him closer. This proved to have more of an effect on her, than him, though. Or so she thought, because of the way her knees started shaking in anticipation of something--she didn't know what.
Finn hadn't expected more than light kissing, so when Natalie proved to have actual... moves... he was surprised in the best possible way. He let himself be drawn closer to her, deeper in to their kiss, never forgetting that this couldn't go too far. Or it could, but he wasn't going to let it. He didn't want her to think she had to be physical with him if she wasn't ready for that... no matter how much he liked being close to her.
Natalie hesitated when he didn't immediately reciprocate her advances. Santana had told her there were a few ways to read if a guy was liking or not like what you were doing, but Finn wasn't reacting much at all. This worried her a little, but the actual kissing part was still going very well so she decided to try the last thing she'd learned. Something Santana taught her supposedly SPECIFICALLY for Finn. Tilting her head a little further to one side to deepen their lip lock, her hand found the wrist of one of his just as her lips parted again. In the same moments that she tugged his hand towards her knee, her tongue darted out to lightly swipe at his lower lip. She flattened his palm to her leg and bent her knee to show him he was tree to touch in return. If this didn't get a reaction, she knew to give up.
Finn wasn't really sure what... or why... Girls and physical stuff had always kind of been a mystery to him. Not the liking it part, obviously, but the rules always seemed to change and he was never really sure what was okay and what was. Natalie never seemed like she was trying to prove anything to anyone but right now... she was being forward and he wasn't sure if it was really her or not. He also wasn't sure that the teenage guy part of his brain cared. His hand moved up from where she'd placed it on her thigh as his lips broke from hers and he moved to kiss along the delicate line of her throat. He definitely couldn't leave any marks but he definitely couldn't deprive her of a few small nips.
Natalie's brain short circuited when he took the bait. Sure, she'd had this discussion with Santana and knew the purpose was to get him to respond, but... That's about as far as they'd gotten. Now that he was actually doing it she was lost again. Unprepared. And with his lips no longer on hers, she was at a loss for what to do. Not to mention, being freed up was making it nearly impossible to stop from launching into more talking. She bit at her lower lip to keep herself quiet--well, with words anyway. That didn't stop her from making other small little noises. Ones that she'd never made before, except when eating really good food. By the time he made it all the way down her neck she had the front of his shirt balled so tightly in her fist that her knuckles were white. She couldn't stop herself from talking anymore. "Finn..." she whimpered out, a hint of encouragement as well as hesitation in her voice. "Th-this is... I don't know how to--..." She wasn't sure what she was trying to say but if she could just get her body to stop shivering she might be able to finish a thought.
Finn had almost forgotten his self-restraint when she started talking. And shaking. It was like a fire alarm going off in his brain, a siren screaming danger, but he remained calm as he slowly, carefully removed his lips from her neck, and his hand from her thigh so that he could cradle her face. "Hey..." He gave her a quick, gentle kiss and folded her up in his arms. "That was really amazing. You're a really good kisser." His thumb traced her bottom lip. "All the other stuff really doesn't matter right now."
Natalie felt like a total loser the minute he stopped touching her. She went from cool and confident to a total lame-o with nothing more than a brush of lips to her neck. But her body had calmed down immediately and he was holding her much tighter so she wasn't disappointed with the turn out. Still, she pouted. Although it was more dramatic and playful than anything. "I'm sorry. That was stupid. I'm not a tease, I promise. I wanted that. But once we got as far as I'd prepared for, I froze." Talking to him about this was remarkably easy. She didn't feel pressured or like he was making fun of her at all. "Next time you just gotta talk me through it." At those words, her smile would slowly grow and the blush would return. She liked the thought that there would be a next time. A moment later the grandfather clock in her dining room started chiming, sounding that they had an hour until the new year. It made her face light up in realization as she jumped from his lap and scurried around. "We still need desert and to turn on the ball dropping!"
Finn was a little confused at why she was telling him sorry. This was only their second date technically. Did someone tell her that she had to go farther than kissing at that point? Not that he wouldn't have liked more but... part of him really wanted to do things right and it just didn't feel like it was time for all of that. "I don't think you're a tease. This is just kind of the speed I go at. But maybe as we get to know each other more and stuff, I can talk you through it. Not that I'm going to be a great teacher since I really haven't done that stuff." He looked at her, an earnest, unassuming expression meeting her tiny smile. "Right now, though, that desert is sounding good. Why don't you get it and I'll get the TV going?"
Natalie paused in her franticness to offer him a very sweet and appreciative smile at his words. Before she could think too much into it, she trotted over and leaned over the back of the couch to peck him quickly on the lips. She stayed close as she spoke. "I like you a lot, Finn Hudson." For just a moment, she lingered to look at his eyes. Then she leaned in for one more quick kiss and darted away towards the kitchen, yelling over her shoulder. "ALSO YOUR EYES LOOK LIKE CARAMEL CANDIES!"
Finn was about to tell her he liked her a lot too, but she kissed him - he had no complaints about this - then dashed off to the kitchen, yelling something about his eyes looking like candy. He'd have to remember to come up with something hers looked like that wasn't totally cheesy. "Thanks." Because that? Totally smooth, he told himself as he picked up the remote to the TV and found a broadcast of the ball drop that also had musical performances.
Natalie returned to the living room carrying two sundae dishes full of ice cream, with Twinkie sticks sticking out in cool fashion. She smiled as she handed him his and looked to the tv, her eyes lighting up. "This is so exiting! And I've gotta say, it's probably the best way to end off one year and start a new one." With those words he'd get her best eyes, biting on her bottom lip before bringing up a spoonful of her homemade ice cream. She liked it, but she was more focused on what his reaction would be!
Finn wasn't big into celebration in general, New Years falling directly into that category. Still, he agreed with Natalie about how this was going to be a great way to spend the holiday. "Pretty girl. Ice cream with Twinkies. What could be better?" He took the bowl and dove in head first.
Natalie giggled at his eagerness, more than happy with that reaction. She'd never cooked for anyone but her dad before, so having another point of view was nice. For the most part, she let them eat in silence, laughing at some of the performances and corny jokes by the broadcasters and sneakily--or so she thought, anyway--inching closer to him to basically be cuddled right back into his side. When her ice cream was finished, she laid the cup on the table and settled back in, eager for the countdown.
Finn focused on his ice cream until it was gone, the hoopla on the television mostly boring to him. He liked listening to her laugh more than the actual music that was being played. Setting his bowl down when he was done, he put his arm around her, noticing that she'd cuddled right up next to him.
Natalie watched content my, and comfortably from her place tucked right into this new guy in her life. She tried to disappear into the screen like she normally did when watching tv, but she found her thoughts mostly circling right back to the reason for the warmth next to her and randomly smiling like n idiot. To anyone not in her head, her grins would seem out of place. Finally, they were a minute to countdown and she was back alive, moving to sit up on her knees and bouncing as she quickly patted at Finns leg. "Looook looklook!" Obviously this was something exciting to her, as she just couldn't contain herself.
Finn felt better than he had in a while. He had this really cool girl in his life and she seemed to really like him back - she'd said as much but he liked that she didn't mind showing it on top of that. And the new year seemed to be looking up a little, which was a relief to him since the last few weeks had sucked majorly. When she sat forward, looking like a kid as the countdown began, he could only smile and scoot forward a little, his arm resting around her waist.
Natalie wiggled in her seat, her eyes widening and brightening as the ball fell closer and closer to the base in its slow crawl. When it got closer, she turned suddenly to face Finn, wrapping her arms around his neck and looking right into his eyes as she continued her countdown along with the people on the screen. As it reached single digits, she snuck her hand behind his head to a spot between the couch and the pillows where she'd hidden a few hallowed out egg shells filled with confetti. She grasped two in her hand and just as everyone screamed '2!' She'd smashed it softly into his head, sending sparkles and colored paper cascading down both of their fronts. Between giggles and bracing for any retaliation, she shouted, "Happy New Year!"
Finn hadn't expected to be hit in the head. It didn't hurt but he had a feeling he'd have glitter stuck in his hair until he took a shower the next day. Anyone else, he wouldn't have really understood why. But it was Natalie and she was... special. Special in the way that could give him what he imagined girls called butterflies. He turned to her, trying to look stern but he couldn't do anything but grin at her dorky self. With the quick sweep of his arm, he pulled her into him and kissed her soundly on the mouth, holding her lips with his until he could tell she was breathless. "Happy New Year to you."
