Thank You Langbaan & Paadee!
For 22 months it was my immense pleasure to curate the wine programs for both Langbaan and Paadee restaurants and was incredibly honored Earl asked me to do so in the first place [2016 seems like a long time ago]. I will miss being part of this talented, committed team and tasting through each new monthly Langbaan menu. The experience was so grand I couldn’t help but think, maybe I should be paying them?
The decision to leave my post was incredibly difficult. Anne and I are having baby number 2 [actually any day now]. I need more time to spend with the family. And my bar, Shift Drinks, is just plain busy. I need to remain focused on our work there. Yes, I’m happy to be profitable, viable & growing.
But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.*
Congratulations to Dana Frank on taking over the reins and for her newly opened business, Bar Norman. I know the programs are in the most capable of hands.
