Tough but worth it.
Most of my musician friends come from musician parents and relatives; but this is not my case. I was born singing and my family had no idea of what to do with it. When they realized the thing was getting serious, they figured I should start taking some piano lessons, but never thought music was actually going to be my one and only goal in life. Ever since I can remember I’ve been more than involved in making music, and singing has always been my greatest passion. Fortunately, even though my parents had no experience whatsoever with a musician, they have backed me up in every crazy decision I’ve made.
After many years climbing this mountain I feel I’ve had a great journey, full of experiences and learned lessons. However, it is usually the hard way that we, as artists, learn that the music industry today is a rough path to go through. I accept the challenge and hope that every step that I make gets me closer to my dream without bad detours. “...if you’re too proud to follow rivers, how you ever gonna find the sea?” (Emeli Sandé - River).
I believe as humans, we have many windows of our soul; different ways of exteriorizing our deepest feelings. Some people cry, some other laugh, some get depressed, and some of us are lucky enough to make music.
