"You... I never loved you, I never did. You're an ugly, filthy whore!" Glass smashes against the wall, "You're disgusting! You made me have children with you!"
"Soel, I-"
"Silence! I can't forgive that. And- and-"
"You're the one who wanted the children... you're the one who killed them," Mikos is already in tears. They stream down his cheeks, hot and unforgiving. But he cannot tear his eyes away from the angry Fae... Her eyes tore into his skin. She was angry, so angry...
"I killed them in the womb to spare them the shame of having a father like you!" Her screams are piercingly loud. Each word stabs the Mirror in his very soul. The pieces of a vase lay on the floor, water spilt, flowers wilted and dying. Just like his heart.
He is silent.
"I wish you never took me out of my village! I wish you had left me to burn with the rest of them! Maybe your old clanmates would have been kind enough to kill me quickly then!"
"I thought-"
"You thought nothing! You thought you saved me?!" She slaps him. She slaps him hard. It stings, it leaves a bright red mark on his already soiled cheek. He gingerly places his hand on his face, too afraid to meet her gaze. Mikos simply stares at the dead flowers on the ground instead, eyes glazed over.
"You... You're the worst. I hate you. I hope you die, alone. Fuck you and your 'family', fuck you and your 'children'."
She storms out of the room.
Mikos lingers, breath catching in his throat. He hiccups. Tears splatter on the floor.
"I made this family for you," His voice is a soft whimper, "I thought we could... have children together, finally,"
(( this is really short, but i wanted a small continuation!! ))
Light filters through the glass on the ceiling. Dust, like a snow of light, floats about. A lone dragon kneels at the temple of his goddess, the Glademother.
Today, he is asking for forgiveness. For a crime he did not commit.
He has been here for a long time, but today he is finally ready- To offer the bodies of his children to the Glademother so they can perhaps rest in peace... Despite never coming out of the womb, and going in such a horrible way. He holds them tight in his arms, bundled in deep green blankets.
He cannot bear to look at their faces. Leave nothing to the imagination, because if he does, he will only grieve more...
Mikos is shaking. Every inch of his body is trembling in front of the Mother.
No words are said today. They... aren't needed.
Gingerly, he leaves the children atop a platform, in the middle of many other offerings. Soon, the Mother will take them, and they will be with her.
It takes all his being not to curl up there, at the foot of the platform, to cry. He takes a deep breath and turns, leaving slowly.

some would say it was strange, others would shrug. it was how they got him to fight, to entertain them, so what did it matter? they’d look at it and say, “do it for your loved one,” and chewing his lip, he’d step into the ring.
as his eyesight faded, so did the scent. he could no longer remember the smell that lingered on that bracelet. and eventually, he found himself standing in a dusty arena, the smell of blood all around him, and not the one he thought mattered most.
they crowded around him, they laughed heartily, they counted the bodies.
his hand found his way to his wrist and he untied it. it slipped away. he no longer felt its familiar weight on his wrist, the touch of it against his skin.
“when he first stumbled into pacalis, auberon was paranoid, shaking, and lost. we knew he was running from something, but with the sound of his voice and the way he was, we could never muster the courage to ask him why. he always wore a cowl. when someone wanted to look him in the eye, he would turn, tugging at the hood, asking them to not look at him.
something had happened to his face- no, his whole body- there were marks, and they would glow. sometimes they’d bleed. he looked like he was in a lot of pain.
he’s better now, but sometimes he’ll go back to the way he was. i hope one day these episodes stop.”
