This is a dangerous step and if you look at the groups pushing it we should all be worried. This is how the anti-gun groups get around the legislative process to limit our rights. With the vast majority of firearms, accessories, ammo and everything else being purchased via credit cards. This special code will make it far easier for them to pressure the card companies to not allow any transactions with this code.
Step 1. Create a unique code that sets it apart from sporting goods.
Step 2. Next pressure those same card companies to restrict or ban purchases with that code .
Step 3. Restrictive anti-2a states use this specific code to pass financial reporting laws where they could get the credit card companies to submit reports telling the state you purchased something and what you spent.
Step 4. Those states then take those reports and use it to get a warrant and raid your home. Something they could easily do if your a resident and this code generated a report showing an out of state purchases tagged by that code.
This is all designed in the end to limit your ability to exercise your 2nd amendment rights by crippling your ability to purchase anything associated with it in the end.
