You’re making me wonder if Peter was prone to dancing during missions with the Ravagers or without. Like I’m imagining that old-hat Mission Impossible scenario where Yondu needs Peter to maneuver around red lasers to get to a diamond or w/e and Peter is popping and locking and doing the worm to get there. With his Walkman of course.

I actually had a vague headcanon lately where Peter uses his dancing skills to dodge attacks - be it fists or gunfire - and it actually works, even though the Ravagers are like "We didn't teach him that" and "What the actual f*ck are you doing there Quill", but I like your idea so much better! =D

There just has to be a good ol' Mission Impossible scenario with Peter dodging red lasers like a pro, even better when there is one of his songs playing in the background. Plus facepalming Yondu in the background, being all like "Nah, I don't know him. Not mine. Naaaah, never seen that embarrassing guy."

Did you have any pets as kid and/or now?

Oooh yeah I do. I have 4 dogs: two jack russels (Otto and Libby), I have a golden retriever/lab mix (Chester…he’s gonna be 11) and Ringo (Rottie…he’s 3…but still a giant baby).

Oh man. I watched a lot of TV growing up, so there’s a lot:

Avatar the Last Airbender

The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy

Courage the Cowardly Dog (this show scared the hell out of me but I loved it)

Scooby-Doo (and A Pup Named Scooby-Doo)

Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends

AAAAHHH! Real Monsters

What genre of music do you like the best, or are you pretty impartial and eclectic when it comes to tunes?

I mostly listen to 60’s and 70’s rock. Depending on my mood, it can be psychedelic, folk, or hard rock (which isn’t really hard rock anymore lol). Oldies are good too…I’ll also listen to Big Band and 80’s pop. But it’s mostly 60’s and 70’s rock.

What are some of your top favorite movies?

Oooh good question. It’s hard for me to pick favorite movies because there’s so many…and they all stand out in different ways that can’t be compared to each other…so except for the first one, these aren’t in order:

1. Labyrinth (probably the movie that’ll show up on my blog the most)

2. The ‘Burbs (it’s one I watch every summer. It’s about a group of neighbors who suspect someone on their block of killing one of the other neighbors. But it’s hilarious.)

3. The Lost Boys (1 of the only 2 vampire movies that I care about)

4. What We Do in the Shadows (second vampire movie…bunch of vampires living in an apartment in New Zealand. It’s amazing and I recommend it to everyone)

5. Ofc GOTG (both of them…these are the only Marvel movies I’m really interested in (and Thor, but to a lesser extent). I’ve never been big on the superhero stuff…that’s more my sister’s thing. But I love these movies)

6. Kill Bill (vol 1 and 2…again, they’re two different movies, but tell the same story so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

7. The Blues Brothers

8. O Brother Where Art Thou (I like how they retold The Odyssey in the Deep South with some of the old superstitions from the south)

9. Fried Green Tomatoes

Honestly I’ve had the same problem. It’s really hard when Mantis didn’t get a lot of development and when you don’t want Rocket to be overly cruel to her unless that’s a plot point that can be remedied. You’re not alone, friend.

I’m having less trouble with Mantis because she is just so pure? And she has a distinct way of speaking and we know enough to like...infer stuff about her personality and past. Like she is clearly very sweet and kind-hearted, given that she does the right thing in the end. But she is also timid, likely becuase of the way Ego treated her, a servant at best and a pet at worst, so she likely is afraid to make other angry or do the wrong thing. But on top of that I think its clear that she feels not only other’s emotions but her own very strongly, and has little to no experience interacting with people, so she is impulsive. And she also has a dark side, she had seen Ego do terrible things and has likely had to help ‘calm’ some of his children and thus has been in part responsible for several deaths. She is complex, but its easy to see where that complexity comes from.

But interacting with Rocket is the part Im having issues with. Like he is rough around the edges and emotionally stunted as hell, but he has opened up a lot and shown that he does have a wide range of emotions(we haven't gone a movie without him crying soooo) and he cares a LOT about his friends. Its finding that realistic balance of ‘Im angry and I don’t trust people I don’t know or like admitting my weaknesses and that makes me come off as rude and hard to get along with’ and that ‘I care about my friends deeply and am afraid of losing them to the point of acting MORE douchey cause if I push them away then it will hurt less if I do lose them, but Im also a kind person deep, deep down just only to those I like) 

And then figuring out how he would react to Mantis. Cause they do share more than a few traits its just...underneath their main personalities. But Rocket is slow to trust so you kinda have to....idk take your time getting them together and I am not good at that......
