Introduction to Product Photography - editing + optimising

I opened up Adobe Bridge and used the star rating feature to help single out which images I wanted to discard and which images were better. Once doing this, I moved all of the one star images to the Mac’s bin as I wanted to declutter my workspace.

From here, I optimised my three best images on Camera Raw:

What I did when optimising:

increased the whites to get a crisp white background 

reduced temperature and increased vibrance to bring out the blue tones in the image

increased contrast and texture, and reduced shadows to make the image look bolder against the white background

increased clarity to sharpen the image

What I did when optimising:

increased the whites to ensure that the background became as white as possible

decreased the temperature to reduce yellow tones around the product

increased vibrance to bring out the colours of the product, making it look more lifelike

increased contrast, texture and blacks to make the product look more bold

reduced shadows so the image didn’t look over edited

increased clarity to sharpen the image

What I did when optimising:

increased whites and highlights to lighten up the background

decreased the temperature remove the yellow tones around the product

increased tint and vibrance to bring out the product’s colours

increased texture and clarity to sharpen up the product and make it look more lifelike

decreased shadows to make the image bolder

After optimising my images, I exported them to the highest quality, and saved a copy to my laptop and OneDrive folders.
