Fancy yourself as a dab hand at Pac-Man? Many have stepped up to the arcade machine but few have conquered this frustratingly fun and agonisingly addictive game of stick-speed, pellet popping and temporarily edible spirits! We made that sound weird.
Well, from tomorrow 8th of April on Nintendo Switch Online, a new challenge dawns for this yellow fellow! Of course he’ll need your help as this time, you aren’t chomping alone... Oh no. This time you’re up against 99 other Pac-Man players in a battle royale for the ages!
Pac-Man 99 will require your A-Game to come out as the leader of the Pac and in turn, be the last Pac standing! Take a look at the killer new trailer above and see just what you’re in for when this lands online tomorrow...
As if Pac-Man wasn’t hard enough, we have a feeling these new features in the mix will cause even the most gifted of players to lose the plot. Jammer Pac-Man sent into your grid will slow down your run and give those pesky ghosts a chance to catch up! But with the rough also comes the smooth and if you time it right with the Power Pellet, you’ll be able to feast on a host of Sleeping Ghosts and boost your chance of victory!
Special Tactics are available and will need to be utilised in order to dominate the rest of the field. With a range at your fingertips, timing is everything. Just when your opponents think they have you... Change tactics on the fly to damage the remaining Pac!
We know we’ll be lining up to play come tomorrow’s launch... But will we be playing against you?
