Padauk - A Little Rain Oracle

Padauk is a frenzy of many small yellow flowers bundled together to spray bright stars against the backdrop of vibrant green leaves. The tree is native to tropical forests of Southeast Asia, such as Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam and serves as the national flower of Myanmar. 

The sweet-smelling flowers are used to welcome the traditional water festival, Thingyan, in Burma. The Thingyan tradition has been alive and well for the last 2000 years, a celebration of bidding farewell to the old and bringing in the new. Padauk trees are a potent symbol of love and strength as well, and are used to channel one’s inner warrior, get in touch with spirituality, and manifest the power to overcome obstacles.

Haven’t been posting my art on here recently but figured I may as well!

Here is a collection of several of the recent engravings I’ve done! I quite enjoy using my dremel to engrave and I kinda wish I had done this kind of thing sooner! I really enjoy it all haha

I do commissions for people also, so if you have art of your dnd character or want something else engraved into wood for wall art or some such, I do take commissions! I also have a catalogue of artwork that can be engraved into wood for viewing purposes as well if you don’t know what you’d like.

Heyyy, it's Wood Wednesday so I thought I'd mix it up. A different kind of original art. I call this dip pen The Smoke of Blue Flame. It's Padauk wood with Shattuckite inlay and a dark silver acrylic tip and tail. Up on the site.
