In Cloak of Deception, while a whole squad of Jedi are chilling in a pod navigating a minefield, Yaddle turns to Qui-Gon like “your Padawan looks anxious, Qui-Gon, is something amiss?” and Qui-Gon looks at over at Obi-Wan and then shrugs, unconcerned, “that’s just his normal face.”

okay but imagine smol!padawan!Obi-Wan doing one of those doorway/wall hieght measurement things where you draw a line on the doorway/wall to measure how tall a kid’s grown

he convinced Qui-Gon to take his measurement and it becomes smol!padawan!Obi-Wan’s goal to grow as tall as his master (spoiler: he does not) and after each growth spurt smol!padawan!Obi-Wan is filled with so much glee because look Master I’m catching up!

then Knight!Obi-Wan continues the tradition with smol!padawan!Anakin who wants to be as tall as his master (spoiler: he’s taller) and smol!padawan!Anakin is beaming after each growth spurt all look Master I’m almost as tall as you! and look Master I’m the same hieght as you were at thirteen!

and Obi-Wan starts sweating when he realizes that not!smol!padawan!Anakin is already almost as tall as him and still has a few years of growing to do
