Tony looks over his shoulder as the footsteps following him stop in the doorway.
It's amazing, really, that someone so toweringly tall, so broad in the shoulders, could make themselves look so tiny.
"C'mon," he says, gesturing for Steve to step further into the executive suite bathroom.
"Not sure this is wise..." Steve says, hands fisted together tightly in front of his chest.
"Sure it is," he says, wrenching the taps on full, filling the tub. "If not, you know the saying: fire cures all follies." He activates the tub's jets and starts stripping.
"And we're allowed?" Steve asks, making no move to remove his own clothing. But Tony doesn't miss the way his eyes follow Tony's movements hungrily. "No one is going to stop... this?"
Naked, Tony busies himself dressing the bath: adding oils, Epsom salt, and a little low-foam bubble formula. "It's my suite. Who will stop us?" he says, gesturing broadly at the bathroom and the rooms beyond it. "Look, since you mentioned how long you can hold your breath, I've really wanted to test it. I've planned out this little experiment; nothing is going to go wrong. Okay? The doors are locked. Right, JARVIS?"
JARVIS speaks up, "They are, Sir. Though-"
"See?" Tony continues. "I figured you'd be more comfortable here. Away from our nosy teammates... Slightly more anonymous... A nice warm hot tub instead of a chilly pool."
"Sir, I'd recommend-" JARVIS pipes up.
"Music, you're right! Play something- I don't know- sensual and soothing? Thanks, JARVIS, where'd I be without you?" he says, stepping into the tub.
"I dread to imagine," JARVIS dryly remarks before going quiet.
Slowly, Steve comes over, stopping at the tub's edge.
"It's just you and me, okay?" Tony says, taking Steve's hand.
Steve nods and strips down before joining Tony. Getting on his knees in front of Tony, water and foam up to his shoulders. "This experiment of yours? You think you can last longer than I can hold my breath?" Steve says, a small smile growing on his flushed face.
He splashes Steve lightly in response, and says, "We'll just have to see."
Steve licks his lips and sinks below the water.
Soft lips press against his length. Teasing up to the root. Tender tongue lapping at his balls.
Tony quickly loses grasp of time. He'll have to ask JARVIS later.
Suddenly, Steve flinches. His jaw tenses briefly, catching Tony's thigh between sharp teeth.
Tony jerks, elbow striking the tiled wall. His breath leaving him in a shocked gasp.
Before he can ask why he was bitten, the bathroom door opens, revealing- "Pepper!"
"You never verified those documents. They're time-critical!"
"The door was locked!"
"You gave me clearance to bypass locks."
"Yes, I'll verify the documents."
Pepper frowns, "Is there something I should know about?"
"No."
"-I've seen you naked before. Tony-?"
"Please, leave!"
Pepper leaves with a wave.
Soon as Pepper's gone, Steve rises from the tub, water spilling everywhere. Running for the door, clothes in hand.

Please follow these steps to check and update your email address. If you don't know your password, or if your password is insecure, you will need to reset your password – which requires you to have access to your account's email address.
How do I check what my account’s email address is?
If you are logged in:
Go to your Preferences page (Select "Hi, [USERNAME]!" at the top of the page, and choose "My Preferences" from the drop-down list)
Click on the “Change Email” button at the top of the page
Your email address will be listed on that page, next to “Current email”
If you are not logged in:
Check your email account for recent emails from AO3, such as subscription notifications or kudos and comment emails.
Look at the “To:” field to see what email address is associated with your account.
You will need to enter this email address exactly as it is listed here in order to receive a password reset email.
How do I change my email address? What if I don't have access to my old email address?
You don't need access to your old email address to change it to a new one, as long as you also know your current password.
Log in
Go to your Preferences page (Select "Hi, [USERNAME]!" at the top of the page, and choose "My Preferences" from the drop-down list)
Click on the “Change Email” button at the top of the page
In both the “New email” and “Enter new email again” fields, enter an email address that you have access to
In the “Password” field, enter your current password
Click the “Confirm Email” button
On the next page, make sure that the banner displays the correct new email address
Click the "Yes, Confirm Email" button
Check your new email address for an email titled “[AO3] Confirm your email change”
Click on the confirmation link in that email, making sure to open it in a browser where you are already logged in
Go to the “Change Email” page and double-check that your “Current email” has been successfully updated.
If you still see the banner saying your email change is pending, the most likely reason for this is that you were logged out before you clicked the confirmation link. Make sure to log in to your account before following the email confirmation link, or open the link in a browser where you are already logged in.
I know my current password, but I'm afraid my password is insecure. How can I change my password to a stronger one?
First, refer to the above instructions for checking or updating your email address, so that you can receive a password reset in case your password is insecure. Then:
Log in
Go to your Preferences page (Select "Hi, [USERNAME]!" at the top of the page, and choose "My Preferences" from the drop-down list)
Click on the “Change Password” button at the top of the page
Enter your current password into the “Old password” field
Enter your new password into both the “New password” and “Confirm new password” fields
Click the “Change Password” button
You will be automatically logged out on all devices.
If, upon logging in, you receive a message saying your password is insecure, then the new password you chose was insecure and you can't use it to log back in. You will need to reset your password (refer to the below instructions) and select a more secure password this time. You can use a password generator to choose a stronger password.
I don't know my current password/my password is insecure, but I know and have access to my account's email address.
In a private/incognito browser, go to the Reset Password page: https://archiveofourown.org/users/password/new (also available by clicking the “Forgot Password?” link on the login form)
Enter the email address associated with your AO3 account
Check your email for the password reset email
Click the “use this link to create a new password” link in the email
Enter a new, secure password
You will be automatically logged in on this device, and automatically logged out on all other devices.
If you continue to receive the message that your password is insecure, then the new password you chose was also insecure. You will need to reset your password again and select a more secure password this time. You can use a password generator to choose a stronger password.
I tried resetting my password, but it didn't work. Help?
The most likely reasons the password reset didn't work are:
You are entering the wrong email address for your AO3 account. Refer to the above instructions on how to check what your account's email address is.
Your email provider is blocking emails from AO3 or sending them to spam/social folders. Search for an email titled “[AO3] Reset your password”.
Your email account doesn't have enough storage and can't receive new emails. You'll need to delete old emails, photos, or videos to empty your storage before requesting a password reset.
You requested multiple password resets in a short time period, resulting in either a “Retry later” page or the link in the first password reset email becoming invalid. Please wait at least one hour before trying again, only submit the form once, and make sure you are using the link in the most recent password reset email.
The new password you chose was insecure, so you can't use it to log back in. You will need to reset your password again and select a more secure password this time. You can use a password generator to choose a stronger password.

You will need to submit a Support ticket containing the following information:
your username
your account’s current email address (if you know it)
an email address that you can access and would like to update your account's email to (enter this email into the Email field so we can contact you)
Support will begin the account recovery process with you, which will ask you for further proof of account ownership. Please be patient, as there are many AO3 users who are also submitting account recovery tickets right now.

The balcony is quiet but far from peaceful. He doubts he'd ever know peace again.
Tony's mind was drowning; replaying the moment over and over where he broke his own heart. Helped ambush one of their own, the best of them.
His apology was empty; he'd known it was when he had prepared himself. What could he even do to make it right? Repair what he broke between them?
Tony gave the signal, and the room turned colder.
And that's where it all ended. Gazing down at Steve, laid out on the floor, shock frozen across his features. Betrayed. The sight embedding deep into his memories.
The door opens behind him, offering a brief distraction from his thoughts.
Tony sighs, digging his fingers into the crumbling concrete balustrade. He keeps his eyes fixed on the cold wastelands below.
Reed stops beside him, looking out over the horizon. "We know he's living with you now."
"We need to keep an eye on him in case the wipe fails."
"There is no reason to doubt Strange's magic."
"Just being prepared."
Reed turns to him. "We need to know."
"Need to know what?"
He knows exactly what Reed was asking.
"Do you love him?"
"No."
A lie. He doubts that in all the universes there's a version of him that didn't love Steve Rogers.
"Are you sure?" Reed says, "Because we're wondering if we should be concerned..."
"Inviting Rogers to begin with was a concern; we know how he is. ...But you're wrong if you think I'm a concern."
Reed looks him in the eyes, lips pursed tightly in a flat line. He nods, saying nothing more as he leaves.
Alone again. Tony lets out the breath he was holding.
There was so much he regretted with Steve Rogers. What was one more?

*Okay, so I think this is actually Vol. 3 not 1. I don't have access to the comics (especially with RCO down) and I'm not completely familiar with the canon.
...But teeeeechnically there's an omnibus that collects this canon as "New Avengers Vol. 1: Everything Dies (2013)" so 👉👈 🥺??? IDK... maybe?

Everything hurts. His lungs ache sharply as he struggles to draw in breath, and his heart beats rapidly in his ears. Sweat runs down his face, stinging as it runs into his eyes.
He can't go on. He can't.
Panting, Tony staggers to a stop, grabbing the railing before he topples over. He leans himself against the wall, the concrete cool against his heated face.
Tony shuts his eyes with a tired moan as heavy footsteps come to a stop behind him.
"This-... is stupid. Doing this-... once was e-enough," he gasps, "Why am I-... doing this-... a-again?"
"C'mon, Iron Man, we have to keep moving," Cap says, not even a little winded after all those flights of stairs.
"O-out of the-... the armor-... do I r-really count-... as Iron Man?" he says. He knows the response he'll get; he just wanted to buy more time.
"Yes," Caps says firmly. "The armor is an extension of your abilities, not the abilities themselves. You are Iron Man, in and out of the suit. Regardless, we're currently on mission and-"
"I know. C-codenames-... in the f-field. Yeah..." Tony says. The tight feeling in his chest is easing up slightly, but he still can't quite catch his breath yet.
"We need to keep moving. The longer the city's power is out in this heatwave, the more people will be negatively affected by the heat. Emergency services-"
Tony cuts him off, "But am I really n-necessary for this?"
"Yes. The technology is unknown. We don't know what the guy has up there on the top floor of the building, other than it created an EMP strong enough to black out the whole city. I- we need you, Iron Man."
"You underestimate yourself, Cap."
"Maybe I'd just feel more assured knowing that you're with me up there," Cap says, voice dropping low and private.
Tony feels himself soften. "Alright."
"-and if it's any motivation, I'll let you take the first swing at him."
"Oh, sure," Tony laughs, "I drown him and his tech in my sweat. That'll really show him."
Cap shakes his head with a smile. He walks up the steps ahead of Tony, turning around after three to hold his hand out to him. "C'mon. Let's keep moving. Only three more flights to go."
Taking Cap's hand, an idea came to him. A truly wonderful and cunning plan. Brilliant by all accounts.
Tony lets himself wobble, stumbling forward and letting Cap steady him in those strong arms.
"You alright?" Cap asks, voice tight with worry.
"Yeah... I don't know if I can. I have a heart condition-"
He doesn't get to say anymore, and he doesn't need to. The words have their intended effect.
Cap quickly lifts Tony off his feet.
Excitement dances in his belly at the thought of being carried in Cap's strong arms-
The world spins and the world's suddenly upside-down as he's tossed over Cap's shoulder. The man's ass, right in his face.

Not all these movies are necessarily good, but the ones that gave me small pop culture epiphanies. It made me realize that 30%-40% of the jokes from modern sitcoms are references/parodies- and these movies are their source material.
^^ This is also true for socializing. So many people I thought were naturally funny were just doing movie bits.
