Inside secret on how to make yourself look good.
I am in my late 30's and I think that those of us that are in that age group have an interesting perspective on life. In our lifetime we have seen the invention of the personal computer, cell phones and social media. Another thing that we have seen is a huge shift to being self focused. Everything from social media to reality TV is all about being self focused. Even some of our good causes are all about marketing and self promotion. I am not here to be negative, just for a reality check. In light of our world being self focused, I am going to give a some insight on how to make yourself look good. The first thing that you need to do is to develop a life vision/purpose that positively impacts the lives of others. This means that you focus all of your efforts on helping those around you to achieve their dreams. Take a moment and in your mind think about all the people in your life and what are their dreams and aspirations. If you don't know what their dreams and aspirations are then you don't know them well enough and you need to spend time to get to know them. Once you know what their dreams are ask them how you can help them achieve those dreams. There is a great principle called reaping and sowing and it comes from using farming as an analogy. Basically whatever you plant in the ground and how you take care of what you plant, it will produce that crop. If you plant all of your seeds and take care of those seeds by watering them, you will produce a crop that will feed many many people including you and your family. The same comes to reaping and sowing into peoples lives. If you spend time helping people grow their dreams, you are not only helping them fulfill their dreams but you are also fulfilling your dreams. As you can see by now that I was obviously joking about making yourself look better. Being self focused is a very shallow and unrewarding experience. Focusing on others and and helping others is gratifying and rewarding. Now go and help other achieve their dreams.
Client Feedback
Sorry it has taken me a while to write, but I wanted to let you know how fantastic Sean was as an instructor. Having had no paddleboard experience before I started my lessons, by the end of the week Sean had me feeling very confident to come home and paddleboard on my own. Sean was very patient coaching me through the fundamentals and very informative about SUP. By the end of the week he introduced me to the PaddleFit workout. I can't wait to come back next summer and paddleboard with you guys again! If you ever make your way to South Padre Island please let me know. Have a great summer. Thanks again, Stephanie from TX
Don't Forget How to Paddle!
It is really exciting to see how much the SUP industry has matured and it is also exciting to see how much potential that we have to grow. I hear stories all the time of how much SUP has changed people's health, their mental state and even their outlook on life. Fitness and health has been part of who I am my entire life and it has been my life's mission to help people discover their own path to health and wellness. PaddleFit has been around for a while now and it is great to see all the people focusing on the fitness aspect of SUP. SUP is being used in so many different ways to get people healthy. Four years ago who would have thought that SUP Yoga would be as big as it is today. With all of these different ways to get people healthy, I want us to remember one thing, lets not forget to learn how to paddle. One of PaddleFit's main values is that above all else we need to teach people how to paddle properly and safely, it is our greatest gift that we can give someone. Everything else is icing on the cake. So as you continue your SUP journey, please make it a priority to continue progressing your paddle technique and to help others to learn how to paddle. It will make your SUP experience that much better.
Part I focuses on learning a series of exercises to "pre-hab" and prevent back injuries.
