Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal on Wednesday approved the appointment of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi as the State Election Commissioner.
Padhi has submitted his Voluntary Retirement (VR) application, which has been accepted.
Padhi, a 1983-batch IAS officer, was due to retire from the services in February 2020. He took over as Chief Secretary from Gokul Pati in 2015.
