Death is part of life and animal behavior on death situations is different than humans except in some cases like the one we are going to describe. This is probably a very unique picture in the ocean. Let me explain you why? This is not a recent picture, it was taken few years ago in one of our dive trips to South Bay, just few hundred of meters in front of Quimixto beach. What you see here is an adult dolphin carrying out of water in his dorsal fin a death baby dolphin. Picture is not a good quality one and we were no have a chance to record around this dolphin the whole herd because we keep a distance but all of them, maybe around 10 or 15 adults were rounding both of them. All the individuals here were absolute calm and slow. This baby dolphin probably passed away due natural causes, we don’t find in distance any injure signs or blood in the water at all. Whe we find this scene, we were contacting quickly to some biologist friends to know what we need to do, but what this scient explain to us was amaizing and shocking. Apparently in dolphin herd beaviour when one of their members die and they have a chance to holding him out of the water, they will keep him&her out of water carrying him/her on dorsal finthey’ll keep this action for at least few days day and night, exchanging position one to another and keep the member lost out of water. After this, they just let him&her go. Recomendation from our biologist friend was keep the distance and respect their rite, so that we did. Hopefully you like this sad post of today, if you like it, please be so kind to reward us with a like and maybe a post sharing. #Banderasscubarepublic #PVScuba #PADI #PVPADI #PADI5star #ScubaVallarta #pvscubadiving #PuertoVallarta #BuceoPuertoVallarta #divepv #lovenature #visitpv #reeflife #easternpacific #uwphotography (en Banderas Scuba Republic Malecón area) https://www.instagram.com/p/CLfT7VZJUfu/?igshid=1tajzhldq284g
