⊰☠⊱ — It’s been days, maybe weeks since he last seen her. Her-- Nina. Being in her company was like finally being able to breathe again, being at peace, being able to just be himself without worry or concern. Just being, with her. She brought out the best in him, helped with the kindness he already possessed. A girl so pure and innocent, who was far too good for this world. He was grateful for being able to be know her and be around her. Her company was always welcomed. She probably misses him as dearly as he missed her. Nicolas would make sure to treat her to something nice. Another night out, she really enjoyed that-- sharing laughter with everyone. Like everything was good. Took all the bad that’s happened.
Was all he could think, eager for his return. Another long trip, another long job. Long but completed. Finished. All he had to do was find his way back. The return wasn’t a difficult task. He made sure to remember how to get there. Even if he couldn’t memorize everything with a single glance, like Worick, it wasn’t all too hard to remember.
Rounding a corner, a small girl turned the corner-- hair similar to Nina’s. It couldn’t be her, it just couldn’t. Wouldn’t make any sense but still-- he wanted to make sure. Needed to make sure. His eyes were probably playing tricks. The effects one had to suffer from all the celebrer he took. He was no stranger to that-- he downed them like no one’s business. Like an addict getting his fix.
Mind in disarray, his feet took over-- taking him towards that girl. It didn’t take long for him to catch up.
Came the guttural drawl of the deaf man. A hesitant hand extended, almost afraid to touch her. The hand just stayed there, hovering a few inches away from the girl he finally got the attention of-- waiting for her to turn around. She seemed a little taller than Nina-- she couldn’t have possibly experienced a sudden growth spurt, right?
