Pagan Boarding School?
Honestly, I’m tired of complaining about how unhappy I was and am about my educational (socially, and at many points, also academically) experiences and I want to change it for other students.
I want future pagan high schoolers/beyond to have a solid community of people who understand their beliefs and can celebrate holidays and complain about society’s misunderstandings with them. I don’t want another pagan to go through the misery I’ve gone through, if I can help it (obviously this will be just one school, but even small things can change someone’s life).
I’m also a graduating senior in college and I’m slightly terrified of not being in a school environment anymore, so I figured why not create one of my own? Sure, I’m young, but I’ve been a student for 98% of my life (I have no memories of before I was enrolled in school). I have loads of experience from the customer point, so why not try my hand at the business-side?

Here’s the deal:
I’m planning out what may be an accredited, private, (hopefully) not-for-profit, Pagan-affiliated boarding school for 9th-12th grade.
I’m hoping the location will be somewhere in the Pacific Northwest (maybe Oregon, USA), but I do not live anywhere near the area, so that is a capital-letter Maybe. I currently live in the Bible Belt, so I know this theoretical school could not open where I am now. I’m trying to relocate, ASAP!!
I’m doing this on top of my final semester of university, and I’m in the very early stages. I’m not an education major, nor am I a business major, so I’m gonna need collaboration from people with those backgrounds!
The school will not have an affiliation with one type of Pagan path, instead it will promote tolerance of all religions, while focusing on social, cultural and academic structures of a majority of the Pagan religions.
It will also teach regular-school things, because, that’s what high school does, duh. I’m also hoping to get funding/teachers for somewhat comprehensive visual arts and music programs.

In the next 1.5 - 2 years, I’m planning on acquiring funding through several sources that I have researched in depth. One of which is very common for start ups, and yes, you can start a school similarly to how start ups are founded.
I’m in a STEM major, and I’m currently taking a class about the Lean Startup model (although this class has nothing to do with teaching or business outside of tech). I’m hoping to learn what I can to help me organize my team when I’m building this school.
