Gatekeeping in Paganism? Miss me with that.
You know what’s exhausting? The gatekeeping in pagan, witchy, and druid spaces.
Paganism isn’t some exclusive country club where you need a secret handshake and a bloodline chart to get in. There’s no test you have to pass. No aesthetic you’re required to have. No ancient ancestor approval needed.
You don’t need: ❌ A certain look ❌ Ancestral receipts ❌ A bookshelf full of academic tomes ❌ A crystal collection the size of a small planet ❌ To practice a specific way for X number of years
You do need: ✅ Curiosity ✅ Respect for the path (and others on it) ✅ A willingness to grow, learn, and connect ✅ A heart that feels called to it—even if you’re stumbling through it like a baby deer on roller skates
Paganism is messy. Personal. Ever-evolving. Your path doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s to be valid.
And for the folks who sit around acting like the Gatekeepers of All That Is Sacred™… congratulations on missing the entire point of earth-based, open-hearted spirituality.
The land doesn’t gatekeep. The sky doesn’t gatekeep. The sea doesn’t gatekeep. Neither does Spirit.
So why should we?
To anyone out there feeling small because someone made you question your place in this… You belong. Full stop.
