last movie:
At this exact moment I’m halfway through The Mummy (1999) but as I have not finished it, the last movie I have finished watching that wasn’t work related was probably Paddington (2014) because I was feeling sad and honestly, that was both the best and worst film to watch because there is just SO much going on in it and character death but also, it’s Paddington...you know.
reading:
I’m halfway Mythos by Stephen Fry and The ocean at the end of the Lane by Neil Gaiman and both are absolutely fantabulous in their own right. I love getting reminded of the way children view the world and I think Gaiman really captures that idea of ‘when you’re a child you think adults have it all figured out but when you’re an adult you’re just a kid with a bit more experience trying desperately to look in control’. Also I love the family of slightly otherworldly women in it. Mythos has been nice as my entire life I just never got around to reading all the famous Greek stories and at the ripe age of 28 I’m honestly too afraid to ask, so thanks Stephen!
what food are you craving right now?
I just made Indonesian stewed meat so, for once, not that. But pizza, always pizza. Greasy, trashy Domino’s pizza but also freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
