I finally picked up a copy of Mass Effect Revelation, and I’m approaching the end. I’ll detail my thoughts later.

But I have to take a moment to say that it’s wild that eight years after first contact humans are supposedly 15% of the Citadel population.

That is just way, way too high. Humanity doesn’t even have outrageous birth rates, like the krogan.

What, has humanity’s presence caused the murder rate to spike to an all time high? Have they caused a plague that wiped out massive amounts of the native population?

I love Mass Effect, but its continued insistence that humans are The Most Special Species Ever continually hurts its own world building.
