"It's not for some utopian evolution of humankind into Ouster angels or Seneschai empaths that I'm doing... what I have to do." "What then?" I whispered into her hair. "Just for the chance to choose," she said softly. "Just for the opportunity to continue being human, whatever that means to each person who chooses." "To choose again?" I said. "Yes," said Aenea. "Even if that means choosing what one has had before. Even if it means choosing the Pax, the cruciform, and alliance with the Core."

Security is tight? Why?
{[ASK]: [”Why the rise in security?”]}
What could be making Bason so jumpy? You decide to push a bit for information.
Bandits? You remember Cal mentioning that Amber forest was full of dangerous people. You hadn’t realized how close you were to it until now.
It makes sense now why Bason was so suspicious of you and your team.
Your mind drifts back to the map... the [Blacksmith] lives to the east of [Yexxies Harbor] so eventually you will have to pass by the [Amber Forest]
Part of you is starting to feel a little nervous.

What Should We Do Now?
college board second edition: pg 612 #12
This one is pretty tricky, but the key insight is that HALF of PR is equal to BC, because half of PQ is inside the box and half of QR is inside the box. Does that make sense?
Plug in to make it more clear. Say, for example, that PQ was 4 and QR was 10 (they aren't, but just pretend). Then the bit between Q and the line on the left would be 2, and the bit between Q and the line on the right would be 5. Those add up to 7, which is half of the total line.
Back to our actual numbers: we know BC is 4, so we know PR must be twice as long: 8.
