Page of Space

One who Masters Space.

As a space player, it’s the Page of Space’s job to breed the Genesis frog. Yet as a Page, they’ll likely try to avoid doing this, unless persuaded by a particularly keen Knight. Pages often prefer to avoid dealing with their own personal quest and job, not wanting to accept that they don’t truly understand their aspect. As such, Pages often will attempt to deal with everyone else’s problems first, avoiding in this case the Genesis frog thoroughly.

The Page of Space will start off with a false Creativity. They’ll try to convince basically everyone, including themselves that they fully understand their aspect. This will manifest as, as I said before, false creativity. This means that they’ll attempt to be an artist, programmer, or some other form of creative medium, and on the surface be moderately good at it. Although, the truth is really that they’re likely just using creativity of others, even if they’re functionally capable, new ideas and such wont come naturally at first. Pages of Space will also likely claim that they live out of the way, isolated, a long way from their friends, or similar, when they are actually very much so within reach. Unlike normal space players, that are actually isolated as of session start. This is a gift in surprise, as it means early communication and cooperation is much easier. But this also means that the Page of Space is without a Forge. A Key part of their session. For the Page of Space to breed their genesis frog, they need to master their aspect, and Create the Forge themselves.

As a Page, they’ll also be punished by their aspect. Personally ways that I’ve thought that could manifest is that their pre-entry dream self awakening could be tied to a pre-session death, that is resurrected via a kiss. This would isolate them on Prospit, which honestly I wouldn’t mind as much as I probably should. This may also manifest in other ways, such as all forms of creation being stripped of them, or similar. Get creative..?

The Page of Space has a long personal quest, although not as challenging as what an Heir may go through. The Page must first learn that they don’t know their aspect, which is a lot harder than it may sound. A Sylph of Breath or Light may help get past this struggle. Once they understand they don’t know anything, then they can begin to master their aspect. A particularly sentient First Guardian would help with this, or persistence through investigation. A Mage of Space would also be a very useful resource, but in almost every session, that’s not going to be a possibility. To master Space, the Page of Space must completely relearn space.

Once mastered, the Page of Space has limitless potential for Creation, and all the fancy space Powers. This means they could teleport their friends around, telekinetically toss things at other things, rescale things, and even summon objects out of thin air, all without the need for First Guardian powers, and with incredible power. The Page of Space will likely use these powers to assist their allies, giving weapons, ammo, cover, teleportation, and all of that jazz. With a fully mastered Page, any Black King fight is exponentially easier.

The Page of Space would partner up very well with most Mages, especially of Void or Time, as having knowledge of everything allows them to control it more finely. A Seer would  give similar power. Fraymotifs between a Time player would be deadly, being able to manipulate all of space through all of time.

The Page of Space is a Prospit Dreamer, being a space player.

Also, Tofu was nice enough to volunteer to actually make the pesterlog thingy so I'll be going back and fixing that. So now after this chapter you're actually going to be seeing the text colors! yaaayy! Anyway, I'm sure you want the actual story now so I'll stop talking.

Your name is STEVEN and yes, that is correct, today is NOT YOUR BIRTHDAY. You like DRAGONS and you have them all over your room. You know MARTIAL ARTS and you’re pretty confident you can kick anyone’s ass. Or is that just the person WRITING THIS? Stop breaking the fourth wall, it’s stupid.

Steven stared at the blank screen. He tried to download sburb but the screen just kept saying it has no client. No matter how hard he worked at it, he couldn’t seem to make it work. After hours, he finally rage quit and decided to go get some coffee. He grabbed a cup and poured himself some, but when he turned around he almost dropped the cup. While his back was turned, someone had put the stuffed cat his mother likes to keep around the house right behind him. He shook himself off and pushed the weird looking thing away. Cool kids don’t get scared. When he returned to his desk, he noticed DS had started to pester him.

DS: It has been decided! DS: I will be this session’s leader DS: Isn’t this exciting?? DS: I get to play the “bad guy” ST: Correction. ST: You get to play the good guy everyone thinks is a bad guy DS: Oh yeah, huh? DS: Either way! DS: I’ll be pulling the strings! ST: Yes, you will be DS: Are you trying to say that you will be pulling my strings while I am pulling Destini’s?? DS: Unthinkable! DS: Next you will be telling me that Destini is pulling Roberts strings! DS: I will be the Master! DS: Me! DS: ALL ME! ST: You need to calm down DS: Ah yes… Sorry. Steven shakes his head, rather annoyed with this crazy broad. He takes a sip of his coffee, not quite sure what to do next. It being early afternoon most people were still asleep. He thought about pestering DS back until she answered, but he suddenly remembered to talk to Robert.

sparkingTimepiece [ST] started pestering edecticBishop [EB] –

ST: I have a question EB: I might have an answer ST: Don’t be a smartass EB: Then don’t tell me you have a question and not ask it right away ST: Is DS pestering you EB: When is she NOT pestering me? ST: Has she been acting strange to you EB: You said you only had one question EB: But, if you must know EB: Yes, she is acting a bit odd. ST: So I’m not crazy EB: No, She is ST: That’s rather rude EB: Are you trying to ask what is wrong with her? ST: Yes. EB: I wouldn’t know EB: She just keeps telling me everything will make sense once we start to play the game ST: How strange EB: You’re telling me.

Steven stares at his screen and shakes his head. As much at DS annoyed him, he was a bit worried about her. The way she has been acting lately has been unnerving if nothing less. Deciding to take his mind off of his friend, he pulls up his pesterchum and see who was online. He clicked on the happy faces that showed Destini was online and clicked pester.

sparkingTimepiece [ST] began pestering delightfulBeliever [DB] –

ST: Hey :3 ST: What’s up

Steven tried to mess around with the game again, but it didn’t seem to help him any. The screen remained black with no changes to anything. He was starting to get rather upset that he got this free game in the mail and it doesn’t work. I mean, he worked hard for this! Long hard hours of just putting his name and mailing address in the asserted slots. I mean, do you know how hard it is to have to read what info goes where?

Suddenly, Steven’s computer screen light up, and an unfamiliar room appeared on his screen. In the middle of it, sits a girl with a heart on her shirt. He’s never seen this girl before in his life but he has the feeling that this is Destini.

ST: Whoa! ST: I can see something

Steven checks out all the controls and starts to scatter the necessary items around her house, placing them anywhere that fit. He skimmed over what the items actually did, but thinking this is just a game, he didn’t really care exactly what they did.

DB: WHATAREYOUDOING?! ST: Is this really happening to you DB: YES!!! ST: Cool

Steven chuckles and picks up the bed behind her and throws it randomly. It hits the wall opposite and breaks through easily. He tries to pick her  up to see if he can mess around with her, but a red warning sign came up saying how he doesn’t want to do that. “Yes I do…” He mutters to himself but of course, the computer doesn’t hear him. “I think your room is a mess, let’s fix that up for you.” He laughs evilly and starts to just pick up anything that he could and throw it around. After a while he started to actually try to ‘redecorate’ in his own terms.

DB: ST… What did you do? ST: Redecorated.

He laughs and leans back in his chair as Destini freaks out over pesterchum. He put his hands behind his head in a job well done.

DS: I hope you’re having fun DS: Because now it’s time to get your ass moving.
